I want to go see 'girl with dragon tattoo' with this chick but my friend said there are some pretty graphic rape scenes in it that would kill the mood. What do you think?

I haven't seen a movie, but I guess it would be a mood killer for me.

When in doubt, pick a different movie.

It's bad because it reminds them that these things CAN HAPPEN (and they're right). They will be careful even if they like you. I wouldn't take a girl to a movie like that.

I would take her to a horror movie instead, you can be the strong man who offers her comfort when she gets scared.

Both me and my wingman took our day2's to see this film (seperate times).

It was a bit awkward for me, but worse for his girl. She was Vietnamese, and as pure as gold. Turns out she has never held a boys hand...sex after marriage kinda thing. Can imagine what it was like when the rape scene came on.

Watch a comedy.

I've heard some girls really like it when you force that shit, fantasy rape is huge apparently, but being that you haven't had sex with her ( I assume) I wouldn't take her to a movie about rape, and then have sex with her and be forceful because she just might be into that. Theres a huge negative if she isn't into this forceful sex.

Have done this film with a girl. Killed the mood.

It was the DVD and she got up and skipped the scene then did not sit back near me.

Also, say no to midget porn (what? it seemed like a laugh at the time!)

I think the rape scene is a good chance for you to build rapport with her. When it happens, mention how fucked up it is and most likely she'll agree with you.

Also, I've watched the Swedish version of the movie. If you two are keen on seeing this movie, don't let the rape scene throw you off. It's one scene in a 2 hour movie. And if the American remake is close to the original, (spoiler) the girl ends up getting revenge on the guy that rapes her. You don't want to miss that.

Vietman yeah, but not with a girl. You don`t go and watch some psycho or tense movie with a girl. Well, if she loves them yes, but otherwise, why would you want to destroy yourself for that night??

Maybe the girls I date are just as demented as I am lol because something like that wouldn't stop me from bringing her to see it. I heard someone else say take her to a horror movie. Whats the difference between a rape scene and a scene where people get killed by a hockey mask wearing giant whos wielding a machete? Both are depicting violent and controversial acts, I don't understand why one would be mentioned as a better option than the other.

Second, I don't bring girls to the movies to get them in the mood. But I do bring girls to movies to analyze it with her afterwards and create some chances to learn what she thinks of a particular scene or character, and then find some kind of common ground with her.

For example, a girl I was sleeping with watched American Psycho with me one night. Despite all the violent acts dealt to the women in the film, she absolutely loved it. We talked about it for hours and then ended the night by boning.
