1) The statement is straw man logic; I never stated that the mind was rooted in logic, however it is rooted in it's own logic based on that logic will create a subjective reality. Belief and faith are not synonyms, I'm not sure if you're trying to use the two interchangeably or as distinct concepts, again much like your previous rantings, the statements you make are convoluted.
2) Feeling bad can lead to depression, and depression can lead to feeling bad...having a negative belief can indeed precipitate into depression - I see you're simply agreeing with me.
3) You don't understand the concept of Ego Strength, as an individual with high ego strength thinks distressing thoughts but processes them in a more productive manner rather than being caught up in negative modes of self-defeating thoughts. Ego Strength has nothing to do with NOT thinking about distressing thoughts, but rather dealing with the distressing thoughts in an adaptive manner.
