First off jurupa ... aren't you the poster who bragged about LYING to girls to make them believe you have some money? How about telling us the point of the "lying game"? Just for fun? Right . . .
As hard as it may to believe this, it was for fun.

Nobody here would be nuts enough to say that confidence and self love are not important. Of course these things are important.
Every one is materialistic to a certain point. I was referring materialistic as someone that lives their life by the objects they have around them and nothing else.

But if you've never worn an Armani suit and a fat 10k watch out to a ritzy private party in a classy lounge in a major city, then you don't really know what these props can do for you. "Gold Diggers" you say? How about easily grabbing the attention of your average classy, confident, successful, beautiful sexy women living fun lives in a big city? How about just feeling like a million dollars?
I been around such props more than once and have seen a wide range of reactions from girls when guys wear such things. I also live in an area where there are girls that won't date a guy unless he drives a BMW.

But guys, there's nothing wrong with having some "materialistic goals". There's nothing wrong with leveraging those materialistic goals to drive yourself to greater professional success. This way, when you hit your 30's, you have a choice. Isn't this the ultimate freedom?
I agree. But for me personally I am for the most part conservative with money and don't like to flash it either.

Do you know what an expensive watch does for you?
In my opinion it does nothing. Especially when you are around other guys with as much or more money than your self.

Finally, how do you keep score?
Personally I go for quality over quantity.

But I'd think there's nothing wrong with having some additional goals in life.
I think you should have additional goals in life.
