I've never had girls orbiting me save perhaps for the time I was in uni when I could have my pick (only shortly) and I've always experienced it as a great lack. In the end I went home with nothing as the girl I kissed immediately flaked on me. Such a lost life.

Just like with bar scenes or online dating, they usually have more than a few pursuers at any given time. So think about it this way, if you already have a few invite to hang out that day, would you go out of your way to ditch all other plans and risk inviting someone else not knowing if he/she would say yes or no? Probably not. Unless you really like that person or that person hit you up with an interesting and fun offer.
