| I actually learned this game at a Methodist camp I worked one summer. They don't know what they managed.
When we did it, we'd have our campers pull their chairs up in a circle. One person would be in the middle and would have to pick someone's lap to sit in. Once chosen and sitting down, they put their arms around the person's neck and say, "Baby, if you love me, you'll smile." The goal of the person sitting down is to look at the person sitting in their lap and say, "Baby, I love you, but I just can't smile," WITHOUT laughing or smiling. It's actually pretty difficult to do and so you can grant them multiple attempts if you like. If the person fails and smiles, or laughs, then they have to give up their seat and pick someone's lap to sit in.
But you don't have to bother with chairs and circles and good methodist children. Just suggest that you show them something or that you have a fun game to play and you can take turns sitting in each other's lap. Good way to instigate kino and build a physical connection, or arouse jealousy in a target.
This works in bars, clubs, libraries, starbucks, pretty much anywhere.
