I'm from England where dating isn't really done. There's an hb9 I've hooked up with a couple of times but not laid yet. She says she says she wants to go and see some film with me, I said ok but I've never been on a date before so I need some advice.
-Where do I meet her?
-Do I pay?
-How do I escalate?
-How do I go about kclose/fclosing?

As for me with meeting up I prefere to meet up somewhere for a drink/food before hand (say an hour before) just to ease into the date and get a little conversation going. Also to perhaps pre-arrange something to do after the movie has finished (game of pool, go for a walk, whatever).
Paying is kinda of up to you, you shouldn't feel obliged to pay if you don't want to, if you don't mind either way you can say "listen I'll pay for you but I don't want you to feel like you owe me anything" something along them lines. Or if you wanna regain some of your financial capital you can say "I'll get the tickets, you can get the first round in afterwards" the tickets will be more expensive but it'll put on a bit more of a level playing field.
With movie dates I just go for the 'cheesy' escalation of putting my arm around her (lets be honest, she's probably expecting it anyway) whisper in her ear during the movie aswell, either making jokes about the movie, other people in the cinema, whatever, but this will get her a bit more used to having your face so close.
From the whispering you can easily move around for the k-close, especially if you've been 'accidently' brushing cheeks etc with her when whispering as this'll have built some sexual tension. If she is really into the movie then I'd advise waiting until afterwards for the kiss, however if she's responding well to your little comments etc you could go for it in the cinema.
