I've seen a bunch of gym threads, but all of them died real quick before too much useful information was brought up. How about we all contribute and come up with an opener or two specifically at the gym? Even if it's theoretical. We can then critique them and field test them then report back. Sound good? I'll go first..

Whenever I head towards the weights I pass by all the cardio machines. Next time I see a HB doing her exercise, I'm going to stop walking, look at her and say..

"Next time I come back around, you better have burned at least 3000 calories." (Or some other ridiculous number). Saying this while making a fake serious face to let her know I'm playing around. Before waiting for a reply, I will keep on walking and start doing my weights. I usually end my workouts with cardio, so on my way back over I can ask for a status report. "So, did you make it to 3000? What...no!? *head into a conversation/routine*

I have yet to field test this, but last time I made a ridiculous comment like that, the girl eventually started doing her work outs around my area and triggered that Proximity that Mystery talks about, making the second part of it even easier.

Thats a pretty decent opener for the gym. I need one too.

I was in the cardio room finishin up with my ab/pushup/jump rope routine and this HB8.5-9.5 wearing short shorts does walking lunges 2 feet in front of my face while im doing pushups. We were the only two in there and there was plenty of room to walk around. I froze and had no idea what to say. Those legs and that ass have had a lasting impact on my brain and this was about 2 months ago.

Any ideas?

It would have been tough to say with my tongue hanging out of my mouth, but ill work it next time.

same problem as everyone.... opening is hard in gyms...

HB9... very fit, we'd been aware of each other for some weeks....
she ran next to me, showing proximity, then when i went to bench she was near me with dumbells.... maybe coincidence, maybe not...

3second rule, so i asked her to spot me, smiling and distant, not coming on.... she was polite and nice and spotted me.... chatted with her a moment between sets f&c, and she spotted me again... complimented me on my set... nice eye contact and smile and she's off... glancing at me now and then... nice IOIs....

mmmm.... to be continued....

hey guys, yeah gym openers are pretty tough, esp if they are focused on their workout....


I have used this one and it has worked for me, its really simple and comes off really easy, normally walk up to a girl doing her exercise after i have gotten eye contact from her

"hey, i got this friend and she was wondering whats a good routine to tone her legs/arms/butt, is there something you would recommend"

then i would just go from there, i have n closed 3 girls and out of them f closed 2 of them, happy times

admittedly hard to open at gym...

opened and hooked two single sets yesterday a 7 and a 9, just playing around.... didn't like the openers tho... hi, how are you doing/which ab machine do you like better?.... felt the openers lacked some zing tho they both hooked....

thought about an opener i'll test... any others like to test this.... should work on mixed sets also... guy and girl working out together...

Gym opener...

'quick question... friend and i are disagreeing... who's the most fanatic during workouts... men or women?

Answer... yap yap.. depends on the person, yada yada

my friend, she's in incredible shape and she says women are more fanatic about their workouts because women really care about their bodies... all guys do is compete with each other and act like testosterone driven cave guys...

Answer... yap yap yap....

hook is set.... on with the routines....

opinions/tests/modifications?

Just say in a real cheesy way as if you have no idea she is in a gym and working out, like your in a liberary or somthing "do you work out?"

only do it when she looks completely fucked though! :lol:

if said right it should pull off, let me know...

lol yeah i think i tried that before. but its really hard when the girl doesn't get the joke and just like looks at you and be like "huh?? what." Then your stuck after that.

It is really true. It's so hard to open girls at the gym cause theres nothin really to say. But I closed a couple of girls by talking about the music. You know how they usually play shitty music at the gym. I just walk up to the girl whose near me (don't completely face her, just angle out like your spotting your partner or something) and say "Wow is this song suppose to hype me up or what. I feel like i'm gonna kill myself haha." Then after that just be like "So what are you workin on today" and teach her a realy cool new workout routine or something. "Hey you wanna know something, I got this workout for you. I know you'd love it. Come here ill show you." Most of the time they follow you then you teach her the routine. Then just talk to her while she does her set. Dude It's genius. This is the only opener that I use at the gym lol. Hey let me know how this thing works out for you if you try and use my opener.
