Okay, so I've decided to do a little mini serie of my thoughts on internal process.


We, human beings, got 2 kinds of motivation

Excintric and intrinsic.

Excintric motivation is based on external rewards. Money is a beautifull example of this. You do something because it will lead you to a goal. You don't particularly like doing the activity but knowing it will lead you somewhere is worth doing it anyways.

Intrinsic motivation is based on internal rewards. An example is you like doing an activity because you like the sense of self-efficiancy. You don't particularly care about the outcome. You enjoy the process more.

How this applies to pick-up.

Do you like conversating with people just because you like human interaction.
Or
Do you conversate with people because it will lead to a goal and do you view the interaction as a neccesary evil to achieve that goal?

Why you should always do things for your own enjoyment.
Look at what I discussed on the ego vs. confidence thread (link: the-difference-between-ego-and-confidence-vt63201.html). Money eventually fades, much like trophies or respect. EVERYTHING EXTERNAL FADES, that's the way of life. You got something, then you lose it. Nothing external will be FOREVER yours. Why? You got no control over it. It's either economy beating your ass or some cooler dude.

Now look at doing things for your own enjoyement. Can economy kick your ass at that? nope, you'd just do the process all over again, which you like to do. economy 0 you 1.
A cooler dude picks up your girl, who cares. You can have as much fun with another girl because you enjoy the process. cool dude 0 you 1.

Focus on yourself internally. Whatever happends externally, let it be. That's life.
