Well, since I arrived to this discussion a little late, I'm going to try and tackle some of the points you guys have already brought up before I introduce any new ideas to this post. Here we go.
Quote:
We've overcomplicated things in this game. When we started, the rules were simple, and they worked. Find. Meet. Attract. Close. Now Mystery is showing us thirteen-step models. Juggler's stuff is getting increasingly complex as he incorporates the ideas of his charisma coaches. Everyone with a theory is posting it on the internet and trying to run a workshop (and I include myself in this, because I've done both and I'm _still_ interested in running a workshop). This game has so many rules now that "getting it right" is more important than "attracting women."
I couldn't agree more brother. Touching on what XF said about learning from other peoples' mistakes, I believe that we should take a moment to look back at what kind of situations and actions that over-rationalization has got humans stuck in before. When people begin to over-rationalize and analyze every little detail, things begin to go wrong, very wrong. Let me provide a few examples; through over-rationalization (among many other things) my country, and many others, rationalized the idea of slavery being an acceptable part of society. Instead of looking at the big picture with a simple, minimalistic perspective, people analyzed different races of people into "classes". Completely overlooking the fact that we are all humans, and all equals. Instead, characteristics and minor differences between races became reasons why we can mistreat each other in order to further our own agendas. This is but one of the shitty situations that has arisen from people over-analyzing a particular case. Another one could be any war we've experienced in human history. Instead of taking a simple, peaceful approach to diplomacy, countries like my own analyze and rationalize the world into millions of different pieces of information and make intricate foreign policies that fucks with everyone. When the only foreign policy should be promoting peace and equality, we have 1000's of diplomats all running around smearing the situation with more unnecessary input, only furthering the already complicated situation.
This does not necessarily mean that we shouldn't analyze our worlds, the human mind is inclined to do so, it is how we survive and prosper. We need to find the happy medium that we once had in this community. When things were broken down, but simple, before the community was seeing things like 13 step programs to get women. Thats ridiculous. I don't really follow much of the "guru material", my game is my own, and I try to keep it that way. Monkey has it right though. Find. Meet. Attract. Close. Is more than enough of a breakdown for seduction. Unless we actively do something about it, our community will become increasingly more complicated until the point where nothing makes sense anymore. We have seen it throughout history, and it will happen if nothing is done. Just look at the political world if you need an example of what I mean.

Very well put. One of the books I am currently reading is by a psychologist who's theory suggests that all the problems in the world today stem from one crucial flaw in the human social world. The fact that most people make themselves from their relationships to other people. By giving themselves these relationships, they basically form their perception of themselves. For instance, one individual defines himself as a father, brother, and husband, and his persona is developed from this. When in all reality it should be the opposite. He should be himself, who is also a father, brother, and husband.

2 Meeting people and interact - friends, GF , sarge etc.
3 Learning something new every day - I personally read some pages in a book every night before I go to sleep. (theres so much knowledge out there, you can't ever learn to much)
4 Do something that benefits yourself - a reward for something that u did earlier this day. if u ran 5 miles , then u maby deserve a siesta after a meal.
5 Healthy food - try and eat healthy food whenever u can, balance the food right (plate model)
6 Be spontanious - if you get a sudden thought to go to the beach of to whereever, whats stopping you? carpe diem! ("I went to bed thinking about a thousand things that I was gonna do the next day, but then I woke up and did the same thing as yesterday".)
Good list. I got them all covered!
Thats all my input for the moment, time for work.
