100% agree man. Nobody realizes when they have bad breath, but it's a complete game killer. I've always loved ethnic food, and I used to have breath problems until a girlfriend called me out on it. On top of what your saying, I got rid of the problem by also doing the following:
-Always carry gum or mints, even if you brushed before. Even booze will have your breath smelling foul as the night wears on, so keep the gum handy. I imagine that if you're suave, you can also use the gum as part of a neg, although I don't think I could pull it off without getting slapped...
-Floss too. In high school, I brushed regularly and still had breath problems, and it was because of food getting between my gums and teeth. Once I started flossing daily, that all went away. Dentists say flossing is actually more important than brushing if you had to choose between the two...
-Don't eat in between when you last brushed and you hit the club. Sometimes you can't avoid it if you're going out to eat with friends or on a date, but if you can, hold that appetite until after. A good trick I learned if you do eat is to have a lemon gelato/sorbet or drink mint tea afterwards; it's not fool-proof, but it helps clean the palate a little.
-In the bar/club, make a point to order a water every now and then. Like CL suggested, bad breath gets worse as your mouth gets dry, so water helps rinse away the nastiness. The water also has the benefit of helping you control your drunkenness so you can run game...
And don't assume you don't have bad breath just because you haven't been called out on it. Odds are that if you aren't making a point of taking care of your breath, it stinks

Remember, your breath can never be too good, but it's really easy for it to get bad!
