Ok so I was on the metro yesterday and what I saw just shocked me. The guy was about mid-twenties, average to just below average attractiveness, and rather roughly put together (I would later find out he was a software designer--so it makes a little more sense--no offense to any software developers out there it is just bc you get to work at home!).

Anyway, I was waiting for the metro and the guy kept looking back at this one girl and then finally after a minute or so he says to her, "Are you going to Pentagon City?" She said no...and he said, "Oh you just looked like you were going to Pentagon City." No for those of you who don't live in Washington DC....there is no look to Pentagon City...you can't tell someone is going there by how they look. It was a horrible line. BUT she continued talking to him. I hate the rating scale but I suppose this girl would be about an 8.

So they continue talking on the metro for a bit and he asked about her job, then he talked about his job and then he talked about software. He made some jokes which she didn't really laugh at (they werent really funny) but he laughed pretty loudly and rather obnoxiously. The point of the story is that he still got her number! He had frame control, but no game....the words that actually came out of his mouth actually turned me off even if I was attracted to him in the first place.

It was very interesting to watch a average/below average looking guy, who was not put together, and spoke about software and the advantages of Mac over PC still get this pretty girl's number and I thought I'd share it with you guys.

But the real question is was it her real number?

I believe so....when the convo died she would reinitiate it by asking a question when she could have just ignored him. So why go through that trouble then give him a fake number?

He made a big mistake...after he got the number and she was ready to get off the metro, he said he would call her 5 or 10 minutes later when she gets above ground and gets service....wayyy too anxious....don't tell a girl when you will call her if you just got her number....well but then this guy had a laundry list of things not to do and he STILL got the number! haha so who knows

Luck, magic, voodoo or possibly he had something amazing you couldnt see....

My money is on some combination of the first 3, but then again, how does any AFC get laid?

Or she's after something else... Software Engineers tend to make good money.

Imagine you're this hot chick and 99% of the guys you meet are too chicken to say hi to you. And the guys who DO say hi to you are types that you suspect might be more interested in mugging you. Then one day you meet this down to earth, roughly put together, software designer who has the balls to come out of nowhere and run a geeky line on you in front of the always-judging eyes of the masses. You're sure you've never heard the word "Pentagon" used in the same context before...but you know you want to get to know him better and find out exactly what makes him so different from all the other guys.

getting a number means nothing. the question is will she pick up when he calls. sometimes ladies give out numbers just for their little ego boost and so they can tell their friends they have a million guys calling them. some girls give out their number because they dont want to reject u in your face, but when u call they wont pick up.

I've been reading about how this doesn't really matter. Enlighten me otherwise but from what I've read, it seems to make sense to me.

Generally, the mindframe is as follows: Who cares about when you call her? If you want to call her 5-10 minutes later, so what. When you speak to a girl, do you convey and form of desperation or neediness? No, you shouldn't have! So then call whenever you feel like it. The "wait a day or two" rule is for AFCs.

I understand the anxious, desperate, needy sort of reasoning why you shouldn't call. But to me, the above reasoning is more powerful. You call on your terms, not some unwritten rule's terms.

It isnt the fact that he was going to call in 5-10 minutes...I don't care for the 3 day rule either...it is the fact that he told her to her face that he was going to call her in 5-10 minutes which conveys neediness and clinginess. If a guy told me that his plan of when he will call me (after i just met him) i would be slightly put off by that.

I think this pickup had a lot more to do with the women than his game. Their are a lot of girls out there that have such bad problems with self esteem that they will accept men that are WAY below their league. PU was designed for hard to get, higher value women. It's not necessary for desperate or lonely women, and just to clarify hbs can be desperate and lonely too. I've know a lot of naturally beautiful women, who don't consider themselves beautiful and don't date or go out because of it. These women just go out with whatever random man shows interest in them because they think its some kind of magical fluke that anyone would be interested in them in the first place.

Why?

coz we work to be outstanding thats why. it seems like its a waste of time if afcs around us are getting hbs - then again - without afcs our game wouldnt be as affective. you cant complain ezo lol.
