Quote:
We may be creatures of habit but this is largely irrelevant to pick up.
This statement is terribly wrong since all human interactions, including those that lead to sex, are based on habits or the creation thereof.
Quote:
This would help to recognize your own bad habits to break them, but a dissertation is not needed to do this, mere common sense in most cases.
Breaking bad habits are key factors that lead to a good social and sexual life. Since the greatest factor prohibiting most men from obtaining those two things are habits. It is therefore very important that we record them. Mere common sense is not too common, humans have a frightful tendency to fall back on old negative behaviors should they not have a recorded example of their performance. Being able to track performance is key in self-change.

Most men who are drawn to pick up are above average intelligence (an assumption but i have met a large number of PUAs), they have failed with women. Then they attempt to apply logic, algorithms, systematic analysis to women in an attempt to 'understand' women, it does not work and they fail again.
Irrelevant, seeing as the object of study is not the woman, but the self. No algorithms are applied, just simple reasoning skills that even 5th graders have. Most men initially fall to the age old of habit used by men since the dawn of time. It is best characterized by men in their late 40s using get rich quick schemes. In other words, they plan for quick success and over abundant rewards not realizing the effort, change, or work necessary to achieve those rewards or success. Failing again is a result of repeating poor and inefficient habits (such as lack of good judgment, and self-defeating behaviors) that they are subconsciously unaware of. A journal gives men the ability to monitor the subconscious consciously.
Quote:
Most guys fail at pick because they have failed in all other areas of there life, they give up and stop trying, it is not the lack of analysis of themselves.
Only partially correct, see the above.

Your post is dangerous and will set newbies on the wrong path from the start, that is why I feel to counter it. Pick up should be a focus on self improvement, your held frame advocates trying to find out patterns, loopholes and such, even if it does not explicitly say so.
My post is dangerous only because it is against the current tone of rhetoric set in the community. The fact that you felt the need to counter it is most likely in response to the above. Your fear is that this tool forces men to over analyze, when no such requirement is necessary. You believe that men should free lance with no written record of their achievements or weaknesses. This however, is perhaps one of the leading reasons for failure, the lack of oversight and structure. I am conceding that many members of this website, including ones who support natural game, are not opposed to journaling and in fact endorse its usage. However, one of the key problems in the community is how men should best get started.

Please tell me your application of this method in pick up and what results (success) it has got you. Also tell me what other posters have applied similar methods.
Maybe you’ve been hiding under a rock, but the entire field report section is full of journals, including the journal of AFC Daniel, he may have not used the tool exactly as I have, but it is extremely close. He has undoubtedly witnessed remarkable progress using his journal. Daniel has systematically recorded and tracked his progress and as a result he has been able to assess his weaknesses and overcome them using sound judgment. I rest my case.
