I agree with you that MOST relationships are not healthy.
I have been with guys that were clingy and it is annoying. But all you mention here are more a matter of having control of yourself and high confidence and self esteem.
Have you ever thought that changing this problem is something that you are the one that should deal with it?
Setting the rules and being the master of yourself is not making you something else from what you are. It just makes you stronger and respecting yourself. This sounds all positive to me.
