1. It's not the new guys that are the problem, the new guys are great! They have some of the best learning attitudes around.
The real problem is they have no idea whats good advice and whats bad advice, so when a new guy grows up and hasn't learnt to leave teaching to people who actually KNOW what they are doing, that's is where the problem lies.
If you want to help people out that's tottaly fine, the first issue is concerning what happens when people start making assertions about truth and no one questions it.
2. Again, confidence is fine, but the tren we have here is an impractical pseudo method of gaining confidence.
I.e. Just trying to think yourself confident.
The result, alot of inner game junkies who's self esteem is in the pits and they can't figure out why.
3. This stuff CAN fuck you up, (why do you think so many people rail against MM? Why do you think Gambler refuses to take on students younger than 21? hint: age of consent in the uk is 16)
Relying on the community to solve your major problems which you should be seeing a therapist for, or being prescribed meds is not a good idea. We are not trained in how to deal with major anxieties or large scale insecurities, heck, we are not trained at all.
Ok now that you explained a bit further, I now see your point clearer and I agree with you now.
This is what sometimes irritates me on the forum: for example, one day, 4 different people made a new topic in pu lounge section, it was like all of them has seen the light, and they all say "it is not about outer game, it is inner game. Too many people think too much when sarging and has outcome dependence. Just adopt an "I don't give a shit attitude blablabla".
While these topics often have a point, they're not very clear and in depht, and thus you don't learn very much from it. Nonetheless, the people who wrote the topics come off as a prophet.
Meanwhile, tens of people, acting like a horde of sheeps, answer with "great post!/ so true/ yeah exactly blabla/ ..." while not trying to think criticaly.
At the 4th topic, I already feel like saying "dude, 3 other topics on the same subject are being made. Trying to get attention or what?", but in the end I don't bother reacting to it.

Warped Mindless largely gave terrible advice and was incredibly popular for a long time until his lies got exposed.
Oh yeah that guy I remember him ...
