I think people misunderstood. I never said I hate community. What I said: I hate all the drama surrounding community with all the guru-worship and ridiculous amounts ego-bs with every other guy trying to become the master of women, without actually thinking for a second about implications of his desires.
it seems to me that all these gurus with all their amazing claims about super effectiveness of their magic secret techniques, just create a sense of constant dissatisfaction among people. So let's say if a dude came to forum trying to get laid, and perhaps find a nice gf, after picking up a few books, he will likely turn into a PUA student, determined to master all the supernatural forces of social interaction, in order to be "the best pua there is" (or some other over dramatic shit like that).
Do these people ever stop to think whether it's worth it. Would you want to spend years of your life to increase your success rate from 2% to 5%? Would you keep approaching after you found what you've come for? Or are you going to dismiss the hardly earned happiness and/or common sense in the name of perfecting your "skillset"?
A lot of the time the PUA methods turn into cults with their traditions and beliefs, supported by nothing but selective reasoning. Blind belief in their respective gurus' words often overrides their personal experience and we end up with the same old, lame ideas that've either wrong or have been taken out of proportion.
At last, once someone new comes around and reads through a few of reviews with armies of supporters of certain "styles", he become convinced of it's validity(so many awesome-sounding PUAs on the forum can't be wrong-right?-wrong.) and the vicious circle of ignorance continues.
That's why I have never "worshiped" one style. I simply took good lines or behavior analysis that I have read and stored it in my head. To me, I find social interactions interesting, that's why I try out different behaviors. It's just a lot of times my head isn't quick enough to come up with good responses that I rely back on canned lines.
