Sincere thanks Chief, it's a rare (And valuable) thing to be so open minded - particularly about a subject you're obviously passionate about. I'm not even asserting I'm right in what I said, just offering a different viewpoint. As I said - I don't think any method has any inherent moral value. There's plenty of assholes out there who don't even use a method!

I have another viewpoint that says NONE of the methods actually work - they're just 'Dumbos magic feather' and work only because we believe they do. How many guys reading this wouldn't even have thought of approaching a good looking woman until they learned MM? How many guys would keep on approaching hot women even though they keep crashing, because they want to perfect that method? And yet, as I said, there's plenty of guys out there doing just that - approaching hot women over and over and getting numbers (or not) - every friday night in clubs across the world, and NONE of them know any method. They just talk to women. Again - makes you think!

I'm not sure you'll find any kind of enlightenment through SS or any particular method - though anything is possible! - but any kind of meager insight I have gained will be from study of NLP/Hypnosis and if anything, martial arts.

At the risk of sounding Yoda - everyone's journey is different. Many paths to the top of the mountain, only one view.

Gotta disagree with you on that one. All of the methods are designed to communicate attractive qualities. When you use a pattern you make the girl feel like she is around someone (i.e. you) who possesses the specific attractive quality that you are describing. When you use stuff from MM you subcommunicate attractive qualities in other ways. For example playfulness, control, confidence and so on through the usage of various routines or through the usage of the correct body language. This is how the methods work - they (sub)communicate that you are attractive and therefor desirable.
I agree with you on this one. In the "Book of Five Rings" Miyamoto Musashi (you should definitely read this book. A lot of its philosophy can be applied in a way that will ensure great understanding of PU) it is described how you must study "the ways of all professions", i.e. all methods. By doing this you will start to see the underlying principles of all the methods and you will find many similarities between the methods. However, when this is accomplished you will have gained some enlightenment because you will then be able to form your own material either in the form of routines or "on the spot". In the mean time you will gain an even greater level of "enlightenment" when you begin to see "The Game" in every interaction around you and when you learn to use some of its principles to help you in other areas of life.

ALRIGHT , first off , WTF is SS???

Second , I think NLP is so much more than what any of you guys make it out to be and I just started reading my first NLP book which I havent even got close to finishing.

Its not all about manipulating others. Infact , Im using anchoring on myself (as described in Robert Greenes Introducing NLP) to help with my shyness by instilling confidence on a switch. How is that manipulation. To me , that makes more sense than running upto random HB's and saying something stupid 100 times.

Im also experimenting , using anchors to try and help me sleep. I dont know if its actually working or if its just because i think it might work that its working (placebo effect) but sleep is much easier.

Anyways , NLP forum sounds good to me.

Oh , and what is SS? Rather difficult to search for "ss" , get things like ass ,kiss and thats not what im looking for.

Thunder i have to say to iv thought about this in the past too, but i do believe this MM stuff works' to a point, how many times have i been chattin up a girl and i end up going home with her mate instead, the one i was showing less intrest in. Or if i was to approach a girl(target) in a set, chances i would just come up against her shield or get blown off for showing too much intrest and making it way too obvious. I think the MM makes sense, but is'nt the grand daddy of methods, but the combining knowledge
