The never ending story...
No!
Mystery has exposed pickup but who the hell cares? Yes, you risk getting exposed if you stick at the level where you mindlessly repeat some ridiculus pickuplines. Or routines for that matter.
If you are afraid of that either create your own routines or develop yourself.
Exactly!
I guess I understand why so many PUAs run for the hills when they hear that The Game is becoming a movie, or that Mystery is coming out with a third season of The Pickup Artist, or that the girl they gamed yesterday called them out on their routine. This is part of the natural evolution of the game! It's part of the natural evolution of any fad, any exposed underground community. People are going to hear about it. It's going to grow. People are going to catch on.
But like Ezo said, and so many have said before him and before me, if you really tune into what this whole pick up thing is about, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If you are in this for the right reasons, you don't even need to have a second thought about all this publicity. Improve yourself in the core, on the inside, and you don't need all those ridiculous overused canned routines and lines and openers.
In short, like Ezo said, pickup has been exposed. Deal with it. It hasn't killed the idea of self-improvement, and it hasn't killed the game. It has only made it more difficult.
