Their's a girl I've known for around 6 months now, from day one I've tried to close her, with no such luck! From day one I don't think I made a massive impression on her, however she was still a little keen. She's five years older than me which was a problem to start, however, when I ended up taking her on a date it didn't go brilliant. I acted very immature, which was the beginning of the end. I later apologised and said I was very nervous and that was my way of dealing with it etc. From then I think I've gone up in her estimates but still no real success. Do I leave it for a while and come back the person I know she will like, or do I be persistant and ask for another chance? I would try iron things out to her face but she's fairly shy and I only see her mainly at the gym, is that a good time and place? HELP

Well honestly I think you started off by investing to much in that "single" interaction. Thats one of the worst things you can do which also causes people to become nervous. Honestly if you see her at Gym you need to act like nothing happened. Like just another day at the gym. If you act like nothing happened it didn't and she will likely react this way.
