yes you read it all right, a TOMATO opener
before giving you the actual opener, i'm going to give you the background story if it.
It was in the afternoon and me and my friends where hanging round in a mall. After a while we got hungry and went to a sandwich bar (i don't know if this is the good dutch to English translation lol, if any dutch PUA can give me a better translation for 'broodjesbar' let me know
).
While we were eating our sandwiches, a friend of mine started a interestting conversation with me and this is how it went:
Friend:"Look at all those vegetables, this sandwich HAS to be fucking healthy"
Ice:"Ye, imagine there was fruit on it, then it was even more healthier"
Friend:"But there is
, are you blind? Don't you see this tomato?"
Ice:"What the fuck dude, tomatoes are vegetables!"
Friend:"No actually a lot of people THINK that, but it's actually fruit."
After some YES <-> NO discussion lol, i went to ask the people in that bar.
Ice:"i can't stay long, because I have to rejoin my friends, but we had an interesting discussion just now. A tomato, is it a fruit or a vegetable?"
Most people said it was a vegetable. So this opened the sets, i even went into small talk with 2 or 3 sets. But the reason i didn't take my approach anywhere was because i was only interested in the answer, to prove my friend he was wrong
.
That evening I googled it and I stumbled on this science forum. I learned that a tomato IS a fruit. It's a fruit because, it was made out of a flower and contains the seeds to make a new tomato plant. Lol I was amazed. Vegetables are former parts of the plants, like for example the roots (think off carrots ).
Anyway this was my tomato opener, I would love some comment on this. How silly it looks it DID actually open sets, I had the attention of my sets, but as i said before, £I just didn't take it anywhere lol.
I think i'm going to try this out again, when i'm near a sandwich bar with some friends lol.
