Hi. I've been trying online dating for a while and met a couple of girls, none of which I felt I had a great connection with. This was until my last encounter where I really felt the chemistry with my date.

We went to a bar where I bought the first round. Everything went well and when I went to the toilet she said she would buy another round, which she did. I declined her proposal of a third round since I had to get up in time the following morning. We both had to take the bus home and she said she could take the bus from my bus stop even if it was a detour for her. On the walk there she applied lip gloss a couple of times and when we arrived her body language said she requested a kiss so I gave her one. Her bus arrived but she didn't hurry to get on, instead she just stood there. So we kissed some more and she gave me a big hug.

A couple of days later I sent her a text and got the reply where she basically said I was a nice guy but she didn't like me "in that way". What could have made her give me this jaw-dropping response? Is there ANY way she didn't feel the chemistry? I mean, there were countless IOI:s.. So should I feel bad for being a bad date or was I outshined by another guy she dated where the chemistry was even better? What do you guys do to keep up the good mood after an event like this? cheers

She couldn't have been more clearer of her intentions with you. "I can get my bus at the same stop as you." then waits around and doesn't really bother to get her bus... This was your cue to invite her back to yours.

It's possible that she wanted to spend the night as well, but a girl that just had a good time and wanted to meet again would probably have behaved in the same way.

Trust us, she wanted a stiff one that night.

Pulling the trigger can be hard (like if your shy). But, just go for the gold. She'll let you know if she's not interested, then you'll have the same result of not trying anyways.

Next time invite her in for a drink (or any reason whatsoever).
