My guess is that you like most people care too much about other people's opinion, and that you are not confident enough to stand up for who you are. For instance, let's say you have a cat and the girl says "I hate cats", what would you reply? When that happened to me (since I have cats) I just looked at her and shrug my shoulders, "whatever". You don't have to be witty, you just have to stop giving a fuck.

I don't believe in something called a "shit test". Obsessing over such stuff will make you think that every move a girl makes is a shit test. When you do that, you're basically going to get nervous and break down right in front of her.

Instead, think of it as a game. If she plays smart, play smarter. As some of the guys above posted, do not ever be affected by what anyone says.

This. I agree. There are no shit tests. Enjoy yourself and help others enjoy themselves as well. "She said something to me... I have to come up with a smartass line... Do I? Nah... Let me ignore it and instead tell you about that funny thing that happened the other day... Hahaha"

That doesn't work, you still may be successful but that is not an effective tactic.

This is why there is this contention in PU about whether shit tests exist. Of course they do, but only when you are a) not really feeling it that night or b) when you first begin.

(i don't want to threadjack, but i think its relevant) Which you can solve by writing your own routines, if you think it would be cool to write a routine about how you were skydiving, go sky diving before you write it. Be yourself, just your best self and be congruent with who you really are.
