I wouldn't say I've ever really had a problem with women. I'm 32 and have slept with 30 plus women despite being faithful in committed relationships for around 13 years of my life. I'm a good lucking, charming guy who generally doesn't have a problem making a connection with the opposite sex.

That said, there are some problem areas where I could use some help. Hence the reason I picked up a couple of Neil Strauss's books last week and now find myself here.

1. I still have anxiety about approaching a beautiful girl. No idea why. I know the good qualities I bring to the table; I know the worst that can happen is she can say no; but it still bothers me. I'm putting the pussy on a pedestal, and I know that, but no matter what I tell myself I can't stop. For this reason I've turned to alcohol and it has on many occasions helped get me past that apprehension. But I don't want to rely on it. I want to be able to approach without liquid courage.

2. I have trouble phase shifting (again, while sober). Once the conversation is going, I usually find that they're pretty into it. I get all sorts of indicators that she'd like to shift things to a different level, but the move itself is what gets me.

3. I'm what you might call a serial monogamist, hence the amount of time I've spent in relationships despite the fact that I was pretty unhappy in some of them. I'm also guilty of some pretty serious one-itis. I didn't even recognize it until recently, but I want it out of my system. Now.

4. Finally, I'd like to take the lessons I learn here and apply them to the rest of my life too. Confidence with women has always rubbed off onto other areas of my life. If I'm on a hot streak with girls, I do well in other areas too. I guess because confidence is a universal trait, as is assertiveness and charm, which are other areas of game I'd like to improve and parlay into a more successful work life and day to day interactions.

Hopefully I've come to the right place. My friends aren't really any help, because I'm sort of the alpha of the group and most of the time they end up looking to me for cues. Thanks in advance.
