| If your goal is to not look creepy or needy, then the simplest and most obvious openers are the best. Preparation and memorization usually comes across as such and is inherently creepy, while the act of "just saying hi" and expecting a positive response is the definition of confidence, aka coolness.
Since I recently got out of a longer relationship and had to remove the rust from my womanizing skills, I had to make a list of "prepared" openers for those days when I was just not feeling it and my state was lower than it needs to be for me to just flow. These are the default openers I came up with:
--"Hi there"
--"Hi, I'm ____"
Works great for groups of two or three:
--"Hey, is today like girls' night out or something?" If the girl says no, then you can say "Ok, cool, then I can just start unashamedly hitting on you/your friend" If someone says yes, then just try to break through it with confidence "Really, well I'm going to have to hit on your girlfriend anyway, she's just too cute to ignore" and just introduce yourself. That second variation won't always work, but, if it does, it REALLY works well.
I live in Europe, so these work great here:
--"Do you speak English?" Even if I speak the local language, which I usually do.
--"Are you American?"
In many large cities, there are a great number of forigners, like in London, where I developed this one:
--"Ok, I know you aren't from (country you're in) so just tell me where you're from" The first time I used this one, I was in London and she was from Germany, so I just shook my head and said in German "OMG, I fly all the way from Germany to England and who do I meet? A German chick. But you're cute enough that its ok (smile and shake hands)" Another time I tried this in England and the girls really were english, so I just said "Wow, I've been in London for three days now and you're the first english girls I've met! How does it feel to be my number one?" _________________ Prepared Natural Game
