When you're out at a club, you know why you are there, for the girls obviously. Because we think a lot as PUAs always trying to keep our wits about ourselves, do you ever find it hard to get drunk? It may just be me but I always mentally try to stay sober and not appear like a sloppy drunk. Girls will reject a really drunk guy just because he looks foolish.

Before I knew about PUA I could get drunk easily because of the lack of thinking I had to do. But now I'm like, stay sober, look cool etc. I mean I can get buzzed but that's it.

Anyone else ever gone throgh this? I know it's a strange question but I would like your views on it. Could it be the PUA stuff affecting my ability to absorb alcohol or is my resistance to the stuff just stronger?

It's nothing mystical. I think it's the fact that you are drinking less, less often (one drink takes longer) and that you are using your wits even while partying. Scouting for sets, chatting with PUA mechanisms going through your head, it keeps your head clearer (until you get a headache from all that thinking). Separate your nights out. If you want to get chicks, keep yourself sober, as you said, you have higher chance for success. If you want to get drunk for the heck of it, ignore girls and just have fun.

Yeah that's what I do too beetle. If I'm specifically looking for a hook up, then I will only have a few drinks and stay pretty much sober (although if I'm in a club I prefer to have a couple of drinks to loosen my dancing feet up a bit haha).

But if I'm just having a night out with mates just for the hell of it, I'm not thinking about pick up stuff or anything like that, and get as drunk as I want (or my wallet allows).

I know there is that issue drink or not to drink when picking up girls.

Personally, I think the best solution is: AT first, go through the pain period, dont drink at all, stay sober until you develop that social skills which is key during pick up. Then once you start getting good sober, start enjoying your nights out, drink if you like, and abuse some women. You have to get your skills down to auto pilot.

I personally love drinking Is it not to loosen up or reduce AA. I like to drink.

Also, if you want to pick up women, being drunk will kill your game, no matter how good you are. So, you have to limit alcohol while your out.

Maybe if you read my post properly you would see that I am looking for people who have gone through the same experience. NOT seeing what other people do. You should go and have another read if you don't want to look like a tool and embarrass yourself.
