I made out with this girl once, while drunk, last weekend. We had been talking prior to that a bunch, but I am in trouble because I am really into her. She broke up with a boyfriend of three years over the summer and its clear that she wants to do the single thing (I think). Anyway -- she asked me (via text, which i thought was obnoxious) to go with her to her date night/"crush" party for her sorority and I agreed to go. For those of you who don't know -- these events allow girls to invite up to two dates. When I was hanging out with her yesterday, I asked who else she was bringing and she started to give me some explanation, but for some reason we got distracted and I didn't get an answer. Today -- my friend told me that she did invite this other dude who I have witnessed her be real flirty with in the past.

Though this isn't super alpha of me -- I am very nervous about this crush party. I really suck at competing with other guys for girls, and I am really not sure if I am going to need to do that or not. Also, I am pretty natural when I have nothing to lose, but I have a tendency to screw things up when I am extremely interested.

Please give me any advice you can!

first of all, you should never fear of losing a girl cause part of the game is also losing and sooner or later you'll have to deal with that.
but as you're really interested in the girl its kinda hard putting those feelings aside so try your best to be the cooler guy (without letting her notice of course), try and isolate her as fast as you can and if you see that he's for some reason drawing her attention from you so you can always make her jealous by being with another girl , though from the way you wrote, your focused mainly on her.
