I was telling my main friend in the area I'm currently in about various PUA related topics and tips, and even after showing him this stuff working and making going to the bars a overall more fun experience, he is referring to it as 'douchy' and just in general being negative about the whole deal.

How do you deal with people like this? I mean I'm not being sleazy or just trying to get laid with a bunch of women by using this stuff. I'm just trying to find a girl I could eventually have a relationship with, and even when I explain this I get all these sarcastic remarks and shit.

Is there some way to deal with someone like this? (I really don't have a lot of options for wingmen, as my social is still kind of small after moving to this area)

The best way to deal with this kind of "support" is to avoid it period. This means that you may have to start sarging by yourself, or simply go out with him and do your thing without his help.

Being negative when it comes to learning and applying PUA material is never helpful, and should be avoided. You need people who can contribute to your learning experience, not to hold you back.

Get out of your comfort zone and sarge alone of these days...It may end up being a good learning experience. ;)

Yeah he's the guy I was referring to over in this thread, that I think came on way too strong and ruined any follow-ups I could do before I even had a chance.

I still think I'd have issues sarging alone, cause having the friends with you makes it easy to having a great time and getting that good attention I think you want on yourself at bars and clubs.

What I find most annoying about his negativity towards PUA is that he USES the stuff I tell him after dissing it.

Anyways, I'll report back after the next time we go out, if he starts acting like a jackass about the whole thing I'll just walk off, like I have been doing, and open groups by myself and just go back to hang with my friends after I've finished closing.

Sounds like a good plan. He might just be interested in learning PUA, but can't get rid of his AA and insecurities. It might be a coping mechanism for him not to feel "bad" about not being able to do the things you are.

"Yeah, PUA sucks..." when in fact, you think "Damn, if I could do that...". Do you think he's going to find all of this stupid when you're making out with the hottest chick at the bar? I dont think so ;)

Yeah I mean some of the stuff I do I used to do before I 'lost my confidence' and thus lost my attraction. Now I'm all about having fun and throwing out high fives and hugs to anyone that looks cool wherever I am.

Life's too short to be angry all the time.

And that's the attitude you should always have!
