If I will turn conceeded for that then what other things can I do to start developing self confidence? thanks

I wouldn't call you conceited unless you were boasting to other people besides yourself. The problem I have with this kind of self-assurance is that it's essentially meaningless - nothing more than cognitive masturbation.
Be honest with yourself. Acknowledge and understand your personal strengths and weaknesses, so you can make better decisions. Lying to yourself, or trying to ignore certain problems, will eat away at any self-confidence you might have.
Establish some goals, and work towards them. Your self-confidence will rise with each one you achieve.
KNOW your personal qualities. What you tell yourself may or may not coincide with reality, and you don't want to be making decisions based on assumptions and self-assurance.
