i ve got the thinking that its not the words that you say its the concept. the major problem with any methodology mm, ss, dyd and even puatraining is that the student copies the lines word for word with no variation, they dont create their own lines or patterns or routines they just use the examples given because they think it is a pure guaranteed success so of course the lines and routines are recycled over and over again so of course it becomes outdated!
now without sounding funny some students follow it word for word then when they get an unexpected response they get stuck and then of course they freeze up and dont know what to do
True, but if you're someone whos only just started gaming and getting over the fear of approaching a group of complete strangers, it's harder for you to be able to come up with your own stuff because you're not socially calibrated.
I've only been reading up and practicing PUA for a couple of weeks now, and whenever I've gone our sarging I've used lines from various PUA. Hopefully as I become more experienced, I'll be able to begin making up my own stuff.
I think Zephyrine has hit the nail on the head there, though.
