rAFC's exciting story attempting game.
Ok guys don't be nice to me. Tear me apart, tell me what I did wrong, what I could have done better, and how I can improve next time.
So I did my first long hand approach, trying to get a girl's number in a store.
The end result is that she got my number and gave me some bullshit about her not having a phone so I wouldn't be able to reach her (bullshit test I presume). And no, I do not really expect her to call me. Oh well.
Through this experience I have learned:
1. Some about the nature of bullshit tests.
2. A bit more on how women treat getting their numbers.
3. Experience in woman interaction.
The conversation and actions went something like this:
M: How are you doing? (From behind, she was packing shelves)
H: Fine. Just working.
M: Is work satisfying?
H: Yes I love it... blah blah blah blah.
M: (Talking about me wanting to get a job somewhere (not necessarily at her store))
Eventually I ask her "How about we meet somewhere to discus how she feels about her job." as sort of an excuse to get her number.
H: She says sure. But I have a boyfriend.
M: (Give her sort of a funny look)
H: That doesn't matter to you?
M: So how can we make this happen?
H: I don't know.
M: Phone number?
H: Do you have a pen?
M: (didn't have a pen
)
She went and got one.
I wrote down my number for her, she gave me her bullshit test. I left.
That was the sum of the interaction.
Really I don't even care that I totally fucked this up, it is an advancement for me to even have had this conversation. I learned a lot and it was fun.
If I see her again and she doesn't call, which she most likely won't. Next time I see her (it's probable I will) I will attempt damage control:
1. Acknowledge that women like to get guys numbers so that they can laugh about it and throw them away (semi-joking manner).
2. Tell her seriously that despite everything I thought it was disrespectful and if she wants to see me on a personal basis she is going to have to double the stakes.
