First, I have to say, I know a guy that is not great looking with good game can get girls. I see it all the time.. The slightly overwieght guy with the narly goaty and loud personality, the short skinny cat with some swagger walking with the hot girl..

This is a basic question. I am pretty newb with a lot of this btw. I ask this because, imo, without reading much marerial on gaming and not very good obviously, I am curious to the pros comments on a simple question. This is going to be kind of a ramble here.

The question came to mind as I am a few hours into Tyler Durdens- the bluprint decoded. He is majorly into the idea that looks mean absolutly nothing, and so far, he's already past that point.. It kinda made me go 'ehhhh' because for myself, they have ment much in the past.

For the past years I have felt looks matter. I don't know what this means, or the term for what it would be used.. But I think Value?.. I have used my looks as a value(btw, I am actually not a great looking guy, but with the right fitness lvl, hair, ect, I feel I can be up there at times) and when I say I have used this, it is a staple for me in the girls that have been interested in me.. I can't brag about my job for higher value, or money, or cars.. But I do with working out.. I actually like thicker girls and I can see the insecurity in there eyes sometimes, the wanting to be healthier just because of my attitude and I have such conviction behind my words when I talk of nutrition and fitness, which in the end is all tied into my looks.. I use this everytime, because it's really all I have going for me. And they eat it up.

I guess the main thing i'm trying to ask it, do they matter to some degree? Because to Tyler Durden of RSD, they mean nothing.. Not even down to the way you dress at all.. I love the way I look in my outfits, I am not going to lie. And I know that isn't the end all.. But Doesn't matter AT ALL??

for a quick hook up i dont think they matter but if your gonna be with her for a bit then they matter alot cause from my experience they like to show you off and brag about you.

i was at the races in liverpool today and saw plenty of beautiful gfirls with some ugly, golem-looking little bastards. i think it helps, but some girls are more into looks than others.

i think putting down your own looks can be lazy. a guy who isn't getting any action can think either:

A) personality and confidence matter more than anything, but attaining these mental attributes is going to be a lot of hard work and i'm going to be rejected, embarresed and upset a lot on the way to becoming a decent pua. there is a hard road ahead of me.

OR

B) i'm ugly, i can just give up now and play video games. what a relief i don't even have to try.

that's how i see it anyway.

Game matters a hell of alot more then looks do.

If you look great, but got zero game. Then you might just get lucky from time to time.

If you got an A game, but don't look all that good / you are ugly. Even then you will have succes (almost) every time.

Ofcourse, being ugly and no game = zero girls. Look great, and have a tight game = WIN.


So looks only matter when two people's game are even or there's no game involved at all. But as soon as game comes around the corner, it wins.

Looks matter for the first impression.
When you open, a good looking guy WILL open better than a not so good looking guy with similar skill. After the first 2 minuets, then your game is flowing, your getting your Wooo on the go, and a good looking chode will have to have his shit down or he will get blown out by a skillful moth'a fuck'a like you or me.

I also think looks only count for first impressions, a goblin with good game should be able to open and by the time conversation and kino are flowing the girl wont care what you look like

This. As it is the first thing a girl sees before you open your mouth to say something. And it will impact her first impression of you. As most girls will sum you you within 15 seconds and that is about how long it takes to approach a girl before you say something.
This is assuming the good looking guy has no game. But if he has game your game has to be rock solid or else he will more than likely win.

Looks mater to a point, dont let it rule you
