lol works pretty well :)
Only drama is this could backfire pretty well...

She doesn't text back = you look like a tit sitting there thinking of what to text her and you hit send by mistake.

Its a risk, v.good or v.bad results i think.

Haha this is good stuff! I've tried a lot of these and all I've had were good results!

I even used some of the openers as responses like this:

Me: I just made you check your phone for no reason....looks like I got you in check!
HB: Haha that's a good one. what's up?
Me: You suddenly popped in my head so HI! Now please stay out of there
HB: lol I guess I can't
Me: So what trouble are you causing cutie?
HB: none lol
Me: Stop.
HB:Stop doing what?
Me:Stop thinking about me and smiling! See I bet you're doing it right now!
HB:lol nope
Me: Ooh fiesty. You know out of all the (her name)'s that I know....I think you're my second favorite!

I am relentless with these responses but I can't help the feeling that it's almost mechanical and not natural.

Yea IMO that's a little bit over the top with the canned responses/lines. Stick with one or maybe two and let it flow naturally from there.
