Just got out of a LTR and moved to a new area where I know no one.

Trying to break out of my shell and meet people -- and ideally sleep with them at some point.

Trying to set realistic goals.

Tonight I went out solo to a bar (a first, big move for me) and talked to 5 women. I am generally very quiet/shy but made a solid attempt to take this baby step. I consider the night a success, considering I at least met a few randoms.

The reason for this is that I want to be able to assess real life issues, not just the ones in my head which may or may not exist.

I don't think I am effectively implementing any PUA tactics. In fact, I pretty much just approached the women and started talking to them. I was able to hold the conversation until it would fade, at which point I would excuse myself and walk around. I definitely did not pick up any vibes of sincere attraction, but credit myself for at least starting somewhere!

Any tips for my situation?

Congrats! Considering your shy and you went out and talked to 5 random girls...that's a pretty good start. Just keep at it. Every night just add one more routine, opener, story, whatever. If you want a more flirty and sexual response use a cocky and funny attitude and get in a sexual state

Not only with overcoming your shyness a little , as Foxtrot pointed out, but also for for stating your goals / expectations honest and cristal clear. From the moment u wrote this post u are no longer an AFC , freshly out of an LTR ... no, u sir , are a man with a plan!

Unfortunately , it isnt a gameplan ... yet , I assume u are familliar with the standard works about picking up women DD , MM etc. Especially MM desscribes the stages in a conversation in order to create that spark u are looking for ... attracktion.

Try using it to give your game a bit more "direction".

Thanks man. Maybe just a technicality, but I would still consider myself AFC. By that I mean, not a PUA.

I know MM is Mystery Method (I know nothing about it, where can I find some info?), but what is DD?

That's just what I'm looking for though. I can "open", and in the past week since I moved here/became single, have talked to about 15 random women from anywhere to 30 seconds to 10 minutes.

You're spot on, I have a plan but not a solid method of execution, or, gameplan. Been 3+ years since I've had to work to make a woman attracted to me (and I sucked at it then too), so it is not natural. Where do you suggest I go for this "direction", could you send me a link or something?
