hey. i just joined and may as well introduce myself. my name is ani, i'm a grad student in the ny area. my subject area is intimate relationships.

i first got interested in your whole pua shenanigans about 3 yrs ago when i was in undergrad and found some david deangelo stuff on our P2P network. i sustained my interest in it by befriending AFC/virgins and AMOGs and noting the dichotomy between their lifestyles. since starting grad school i decided to revisit the topic, hoping to establish a more organized understanding of it.

i am passionate about love, relationships, and sex--i think that maslows heirarchy is nonsense, because i can certainly see anyone forgoing all of those 'necessary conditions' for a shot at love <3

oh, one other thing---it's funny how many times a guy has said to me (after i told tried to give them some advice on why things aren't working out with whatever girl they are talking to at the moment) that i should watch the show The Pickup Artist! i just have to wonder--if these guys are already aware of the mystery method, then why exactly are they still striking out so horribly?! i'd love to learn to be a pivot, cause dorky guys need love too!

yesterday i went out to a bar with one of the law students i live with and was delighted when he started trying to utilize PUA techniques on me--who doesn't appreciate someone who is trying to do whatever they are doing WELL?

Yaaay! Feel free to comment on stuff. We like your input. I'd especially like you to talk about what I've been saying here -> hints-for-knowing-what-girls-to-go-for- ... 86415.html (third post in the thread, where I talk about girls wearing red and stuff) and here -> frame-control-defining-reality-and-bein ... 34530.html (where I talk about confidence and direct openers).

Your input and contributions are highly valued. And if you want tips on picking up guys, we can TOTALLY help you with that. 8)

If they were really trying to 'infiltrate' they would pretend to be boys, and ask about the tactics the guys are using on them.

The fact she says shes a girl straight away, and a smart one at that, means ...

chillllll

hey flypapermeems,

thanks for taking the time out to welcome me... and maybe you're right and girls are taking over...

i wonder how the men here feel about the influx of women (be it supporters, critics, or just curious ladies wandering in). i invite any willing male to comment on his thoughts of women in the PUA community--does it go against the point of it all if the ladies know what you're up to? does it help to have a female perspective? does it not matter in the least whether someone is male or female?

what sort of women do you think are most attracted to concepts such as the ones adopted here? i imagine its a very specific and self selecting group, though i suppose the same could be said about the men...let me know!

looking forward to hearing your thoughts ♥

I think all women react well to the concepts discussed (except the odd one eg the divorcee queen bee I met), however, I believe pickup has more to do with the man implementing the techniques than the woman. A natural can say whatever he wants and will stand a better chance than an afc saying the same things. Yet instead of trying to be that guy if an afc can show who he is in a non-boring/weird way then he's set.

well said, jaybot--that is certainly true. when talking to my male friends about topics such as these they always ask what techniques i hope to learn. my response is almost invariably that women don't have to learn techniques, they just have to be worth talking to. harsh sounding? probably. but that is the basic breakdown. men don't have nearly as many defenses up as women, and so women don't have to do all of the work men do to break down those defenses (thank god!).

all we ladies have to do is be receptive to thoughtful men coming up to us and wanting to show us a good time! sweet deal.

To be honest, it's starting to get old. :P

Must be a seasonal thing. Every now and then we get a wave of girls signing up, and a rare few of them stay with us. Unfortunately, most of them are never heard from after a few or a dozen or so posts.

We've been planning on creating a new forum section headed by our female moderator Zip specifically for women. I don't know if we have enough active women users, though.

No, but the scared, paranoid newbies who rely on popular canned material for their game seem to think so. The truth is, sexually cognizant attractive women already know that men want to fuck them.

Only if the women actually KNOW what they are talking about instead of relying solely on their feeling and intuition to explain stuff.

Nope.

Real women.

it's kind of a pity that most girls don't stick around. i can't say i'll stay very long, mostly because i'll be busy with work the next couple months. but it is a really interesting idea, the seduction of the opposite sex.

i agree, ani, that women don't really have to break down the walls that men have to get through. however, i have to say, some girls don't get that. have you heard of women dating coaches?
