The Game (2008) is in the imdb database, and is currently in production and being made into a fucking movie.. not just a low budget fucking flick you find in the back shelves at blockbuster, i mean a hollywood feature in the theatres.

This would be very very bad... for lazy guys. I personally think using canned material is lame, so this will help guys to evolve from monkeys who know a trick to guys who are really good with women.

Ok, well I just finished style's book like a month ago, very new to the scene so I didn't know this was already well known.


So I went to read a lot of the older posts, Everyone is worried, about how they will lose their 'canned openers' and will lose all of their opinion openers and such because GIRLS will know what they are up to.

I think everyone is missing a key point here: this movie is going to display a main social dynamic that probably many guys are oblivious to at the moment, when a PUA opens a group he tries to befriend everyone except the target at first while demonstrating value.. etc. etc.. well it doesn't matter if the target knows this.. but what does matter is the AMOGS in the group that already know the target will know this and will immediately go to cockblock mode even when are paying absolutely no attention and even throwing negs at your target because they will know EXACTLY what you are doing because they have now watched the MOVIE.

The only thing its going to do is eliminate canned material. People who can't evolve and make their own material. Nobody is going to spot a routine that you made up. They'll all be too stupid focusing on looking for lines that were in the movie. So that being said, certain routines or ideas will become obsolete (My guess is the best friends test, cube and other very common bits will be portrayed in the movie). The only artists left will be innovators and new followers of a new generation of our subculture. Many will leave when they decide that they could get called out on what they are doing, I personally think that could be half the fun.


So what are you going to do?
Freak out all day and get nothing accomplished?

If you made up your own stuff, it should affect us too much. However, I do think its gonna eliminate "opinion openers". Im sure this isint a big concern for those who have been at it for a while, but for some of us who havent been doing this for too long, it will affect us. After the movie, if you ask a girl for her opinion on something, she's gonna assume you are attempting to run a routine.

I heard its gonna be a romantic commedy though, so they might not go into specific detail about the routines.

I think i'm going to phrase this differently.

1.) Women of beauty are rarely found alone, and often with a group of people, often male friends or potential suiters. Duh.

2.) This movie is a theatrical release meaning any sets you approach from now on, there is a GOOD chance they have seen the movie, and paid particular attention to it. Duh.

Not only that, the AFCs, her male friends, brothers, or whatever MALES the target is with might have been so intrigued to go by the book and probably even start working his way into the community.

3.) All of the above is pretty much fact.

Now when you approach a set, no matter if you use an opinion opener, or a canned opener, or your own material, it doesn't matter.

It is the alienation of the target we should be worried about.

Because that is what every MALE will see you doing and go into cockblock mode instantly, and it will happen on the majority of sets you try.

So in conclusion, we will not only no longer be able to used recited canned openers, and opinion openers or anything from the book.

We will no longer be able to use one of the major social principles that surround the entire method and that is alienating the target while winning over her friends.

That's certainly what it seems like to me.

There was a GREAT episode of Miss Guided (a great little ABC sitcom that probably won't be back) a couple months ago where the vice principal character played by Chris Parnell talks about having read The Game and spends his entire subplot in the ep trying to mack on the hottest teacher in school by negging her and ignoring her, and he walks the viewer (rather ignorantly, but he does it all the same) through several steps in the process. It was fucking hilarious, but it made me worry a little.

Wow, goldeneye good to see someone is on my terms.

Everyone keeps talking about how when this movie comes out we will just have to reinvent the game, and not used opinion or canned openers.

But the neg system works because it exploits the woman's pyche, that is not something you can reinvent.

Who the fuck cares about negs? They aren't a staple in the game. All you're essentially doing is teasing her. Seriously. It's not that big of a deal.

Go to the spyglass website (the company that will produce this movie) they have it listed as in development. Spyglass is a pretty big corporation, seems to me that it is most likely getting made.

Shouldnt be that big of a deal. I was like you when i first heard about it and was all like 'NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!' but hey you dont need canned lines to be successful, all i really use is witty comments/replies, what about body language and tone and all that jazz? its probably going to just end up like the movie Hitch. sure maybe not a PUA movie exactly but it had some alright material that i have put into play that seemed to work for me, but you dont see chicks saying 'YOU GOT THAT FROM HITCH DIDNT YOU?' if i do try to pull it? No. its just a movie, and like any other movie, its gonna lose its hype eventually and most people will forget about it, just like Hitch
