What is the deal with Project Chicago? This have a pretty neat website, so I went ahead and applied to the forums.

The next day, I find that someone has stolen one of my e-mail addresses for spamming. I incidentally used the same password for my forum login as the e-mail address I used to confirm it. Not saying I have any proof, but it seems like Project Chicago stole my e-mail address.

On top of that its been like a week, and they never got back to me. Anyone know what the deal is?

And usuing your pw for both is kinda noobish, no offense. Use different passwords for each type of account, ie work/school/personal/social/gaming.

or if youre really paranoid never use the same password for anything, and change it once a month, with 15 characters and include caps, lowercase, symbols, and numbers.

I'm not really mad that my account was stolen because I just changed the password and got it back, but I'm kind of bummed that Project Chicago isn't really a legitimate site. Or is it?

hey bud. Im a project chicago member and there are over 750 members in the lair. Ive never heard of this happening to anyone but can assure you tyhat project chicago is a legit lair.

I couldnt see any of the PC guys doing this since i know the moderators personaly but seems like you may of had a stroke of bad luck for some reason. You can try again or if youre really interested PM me and i can give you a phone numbers for the lair president and/or recruitment officers so you can come to a meet and great if youre hestitant about applying online again.

I just applied to the Chicago Lair also and it was wierd. I didn't get a response and I have gotten some weird "Singles" sites in my spam box but I can't say that it has anything to do with me applying to the site. I have talked to James who has been involved with the group and it sounds legit. How would you suggest I get a hold of them?

I ran Project Chicago from Feb 2010 to April 2011. In no way would anyone spam anyone with viagra ads or crap like that. Viruses do that all the time and it's likely you got one. Don't blame it on them.

this event is the single biggest PUA event a chicago lair has ever hosted. I will be in Vegas for vacation during the summit personally so I wont be there. But if I was not in Vegas I definitely would. I have been in the chicago pickup scene for 6 years now. I helped with socialskillz . com (we sold the domain last year to a company in Canda. If you go to that URL now you wont see a lair but that URL used to map to a PUA lair in Chi-town) a chicagolair that competed with project-chicago for 3 years when the game first came out. We were the official lair of Love Systems instructor Dahunter. To compete with us Project-Chicago became an official Dr. Paul Lair (until Dr. Paul had a fallout with that lair). Our lair out beat their membership for 2 straight years before Dahunter moved to California and the lairs founder and myself got out of the game to get steady girlfriends. At this point Project-Chicago's founder also went on Hiatus and made AllCock the lair leader. Under AllCocks leadership Project-Chicago blossomed and SocialSkillz was closed down.

Project-Chicago was now the best lair in the midwest....

But then the founder came back after a two year hiatus and fired everyone who had been running his lair for the past 2 years even though they lead it to greatness.

So now those people AllCock and his trusted followers (about 100 people), formed thechicagolair . com and they have started the PUA summit. The PUA summit happens in June and will have tons of big name speakers. The BIGGEST PUA event ever hosted by one of the Chicago lairs. As someone who has followed the Chicago PUA scene for a long time I officially endorse this summit.

Well i figured Local chicago venues and wing info sounds like a fantastic idea but i can't seem to actually view any of the info on chicago lair.

Everyone asking these questions should read the instructions they give you. They explain everythinng.

There is a one time small application fee to weed out the flakes and those not serious about participating. It is one of the reasons the lair is so strong.

It is a non profit that does not charge any other fees other than that one time application fee. Also, every single member is
interviewed prior to being approved for full site access. New members have access to the outer board prior to the fee/interview.

They also do this on a volunteer basis and host the meet-n-greet interview process once a month. Yes, you will have to wait until the meeting for full access. If you are too impatient for the process, then you are not the guy they are looking for.

They are one of the strongest, most active, and worthwhile lairs anywhere in the US. Be patient during the application process and read what they give you. You'll be glad you did.

Hi. I'm the founder of Project Chicago, and I can assure you there is no intentional spamming / phishing / whatever going on. Really, I barely know enough to manage the forum and had to have help setting it up.

I was not actively managing it at the time, but even though "AllCock" and I are not on good terms, I don't really believe he would likely have bothered with something like that, or even had the competence to do so if he had wanted to.

If you're interested in us, you can Google "Project Chicago" and register. We are non-commercial and have a meetup with a lair talk every two weeks (one is tomorrow, Sunday 1-6-13, at 2pm), as well as sarging events posted on the calendar. There's also a mastermind / men's group starting up (not necessarily related to pickup), as well as some podcasts and some other goodies that are in the works, depending on member interest.

One caveat. There is an "outer" (public) lair and an "inner" (private) lair. You can register for the outer lair any time, but we interview everybody before granting access to the inner lair to ensure privacy and to weed out undesirables.
