Anyone know a good quite cosy cocktail bar in central (London), similar to the closed down Detroit Cocktail Bar... with low-lights, candles and nice cubby holes to sit in, etc.

I actually know an MPUA friend of mine who lives there.

Try the bar downstairs at NOVIKOV in Mayfair.
Low lights, lounge style area with settees and alcoves.
Nice cocktails and crowd, a bit pricey but it's mayfair for you.

In summer/nice weather try the rooftop bar at Aqua, opposite the Movida club.
Not as intimate but good crowd and the layout allows for a bit of seclusion when desired.

Third choice is Reason and Mankind, nice cocktail bar/lounge with a night club down the corridor but can be deserted if you hit the wrong time.

Let me know of you find better, I only go to London on occasion and always looking for good places.
