I want to explore night life and day game spots in Hamptons (NY). It would be a shame to let summer go waste without exploring all the Hamptons Anyone knows if there are good spots? Anybody wants to wing with me, let me know... we can help each other out.

I began in late August. Alas. Discovered an amazing, unbelievable place called Cyril's Fish House. on Rt27 west of Montauk. Sat-Sun, 4-8pm they have a DJ and get hundreds of people. Easy to mix. Not too loud to talk. Mostly outdoors. Un-real.

I did NOT discover other places like this. There is a late night scene like in Manhattan Meatpacking but personally I hate that. And there are endless restaurants for affluent-looking people to dine. There is a dumpy looking place that has become a SCENE called Surf something (Surf Club?) but since it was written up in the NY Times and it is not large, they have a very severe "velvet rope". Said to be douchy anyway.

One more huge discovery: The train to and from Hamptons from Penn Station is amazing. Amazing. It is packed and so natural and easy to strike up conversations. Everyone is going to or from the same places for the same reasons.

If I'm still single next May, that is where you will find me. Train + Cyrils on the weekends. Period. And I won't be single come September.
