I have my CCW permit which allows me to carry a concealed pistol, and I do wherever it is legal. It hasn't happened yet, but if I am chatting with a target and she somehow discovers that I am carrying do you think that would be a DHV or a DLV? Thanks for the input.


And for those wondering, it is a Glock .45 with hollow point ammo.

Ammo is unimportant unless you tell her. Hollow point is a DLV if you ask me, because it's designed to cause as much damage as possible, not for self defence. The gun itself depends. If you have a cool story to why you can carry it then whatever, it could be a DLV. I'm from the UK where the cops rarely carry guns so i'm not sure what it's like where you're from and I'm not sure what a CCW permit is or why you have it.

I think this would freak the hell out of most women.

I'm from Detroit, kind of equivalent to the armpit of the world. Some states in the USA allow you to carry concealed a pistol on you for self-defense. I don't plan on talking about it ever, I was just wondering what a girl's reaction would be if she saw or felt it on me by accident and I just play it off like it isn't a big deal.

I'd imagine it'd depend very much on the girl. It's the kind of thin that would be a massive turn on for some chicks, but a huge freak out moment for others. Like I said if you can come up with a decent DHV story as to why you feel the need to carry it then I dunno. In certain cases even that might not help.

Here's an idea. That can be your new opinion opener for the week!
"Hey ladies, how would you feel if there was a guy you got along with great, but it turned out he always carried a piece for self defence?"

However DON'T word it as "Hey ladies, what would you think about a man with a gun?!". Just no...

If you say that, the way it has to be said, like a man in total control of himself and his surroundings. I don't think she's ever going to ask you anything about it.

If anything, she'll just agree with your deduction of the times and cling even tighter to you.

More often than not its going to be a DLV. You can phrase it how ever you want when she finds out, but most girls of quality aren't going to like the gun very much.

but i think it would generally be conveyed as a DLV, due to the fact that you want to come off as non-threatening. And a gun would be counter-productive to that motive.
