Number closed HB8 at a house party (friday night), only spent about 10mins with her. I phoned her the next day (Saturday) asking her to the park with me the day after (Sunday/today). So we've been texting back and forth today and I sent her a playful text after she said

HB8: "I didn't know we were watching a movie tonight"

Me: "We're not, we're going to the park. What you thought you could just get into my house and then have the chance to seduce me while we're in my room? I'm not that easy lol. No just the park for us today."

HB8: "haha ok. Just so you know I just got out a 2 1/2 year relationship and I am not looking for anything right now but friendship"

Me: "lol no worries we can still fuck" (Probably not that great a reply given the fact I've not established that much comfort with her etc but I'm really forward and direct nearly always and I found it kind of funny so I sent it anyway)

HB8: "Are you serious? I'm sorry you have the wrong girl."

Me: "lol not sure if I do have the right girl, last time we met you had a sense of humour :p"

So time goes by and 20mins before we're supposed to meet I text her

Me: "See you outside XXXXX in 30mins?"

HB8: "Sorry I was frantically trying to finish my prelab. I don't think I can make it today I procrastinated yesterday and I have too much stuff to do."

Me: "Really?"

HB8: "No seriously I can't I have to read chapters in my organic textbook, 200 pages of the inferno, and crito by Plato. Another time?"

So to try and call her out on it a bit I text back

"Hmm well I guess but I don't particularly like making plans and then having them cancelled, if we make plans for another time I don't want to be cancelled on at a last minutes notice as you know yourself you're quite busy and need to use your time properly. I'm pretty busy too and really don't like waiting it, if you can give me a time or day you might be free I'll see if I can make it too. I thought you were pretty cool when I met you and I'd like to spend time getting to know you."

HB8: I understand and I'm sorry for canceling. Thank you and I'll let you know.

So I'm pretty decent at getting same day lays and hooking up with random girls these days but my real sticking points are in "dating" and in "relationships" because i'm just not used to them. I very rarely have to deal with flaky girls or a bunch of text game to set up "dates" and stuff. When I do i usually have to put a lot of planning into it. Anyway I'm just wondering a few things.

1. Should I have been harsher with her?
2. Did I sound to AFCish?
3. Should I text her again? And if so when?
4. How should I deal with "flaky" girls in the future?
5. Is being direct not such a great move all the time?
