Ive seen it happen like 3-4 times, mostly on shows like Jersey shore and Real world. The girl will end up having sex with the guy she absolutely despises. Theres this one in particular. She had a long term boyfriend. And this guy she hated who would put up signs in her room to go cut herself (she had a cutting problem) and go home because theyre personalities clashed badly and stuff, she ended up hooking up with at the very end despite having a boyfriend. I find this very disgusting and disturbing and I am really offended by it. Like do you have no control whatsoever? Like Ive seen it a few times. Because theres this girl I like and she like hooked up with this grimy guy with like no passions or academic goals or any of that and pretty much enjoyed getting drunk and high and speaking out towards people. All the things I didnt have and what I was proud to not have and what I was proud this girl didnt have. And yet they hooked up. Is this just because I met some grimy girls or are all girls like this? Do we really have control? This girl was academic.

The show you're referring to with the cutting-girl,Im wondring if it's MTV's Challenge or something like that.

Anyway,Im a Jersey Shore lover so I can relate.

But it comes down to "approval";simple!

The girl who hates the guy rationalizes to herself that if she sleeps with him,he woud some how,not like her,but give her an easy time.

This is not only pick-up related.

Remember years ago in the 3rd.grade,we had a bully.

I hate him but I rationalized to myself that if I did his homework,or helped him with it,he wont pick on me anymore.

I didnt want him to like me,just wanted him to stop picking on me.

Same as with the girls who sleep with guys whom they hate or who hate them and verbally abuse them, etc.

They figure if I hook up with him,he'd get off my ass.

It has nothing to do with a bad-boy image in this scenario.

I comes down to seeking approval and acceptance from the bully or abuser.

Irony is,I find that those types of guys get laid way more than play-it safe types.

It's not about the "hate", as much as it is about not letting her have her way.

Women are reduced to crying, pathetic messes by men who are cold and indifferent to their words. No matter what they say, they are just met with blank expressions and replies which chill to the bone.

Eventually, a woman will go ahead and try all the different ways she knows just to figure the guy out, hoping that in some way she can understand him. That she can predict him.

When that doesn't happen and he's just as mysterious as he always was. She starts getting attracted to him. We are always in love with the things we can't put our fingers on. The whole unpredictability of the interaction or the relationship always makes a person come back for more, just to see what will happen today, that maybe something might have changed. But, it hasn't.

So, remember women are after emotionally disconnected men, not because they "hate" them, but because they cannot "predict" them.

i agree with don draper its not about the girl hating the guy its about hating not getting their own way! girls are used to getting their own way. so they get angry when they arent getting their own way. but at the same its a turn on for a guy to hold his own ground, it shows you arent weak willed and more importantly you present a challenge, sadly we all like a challenge why do we compete in sports its simple we want a challenge and its the chase thats fun! think of this you challenge your best friend to a race then you both run for a minute then he stops and says its ok you can win how disappointed would you be. would you be glad you won no because it was too easy,

Well, you can always do that when you've earned enough rep. So, don't worry about it.
