I approached a mixed set, 2 girls 1 guy, with a situational opener. As I was telling the story one of the girls seemed more interested, the guy and the other girl were constantly making eye contact with eachother. I don't know if it was AFC but I asked the group if they were "together". Hoping one of them would be like yeah that's my boyfriend or girlfriend. They just answered yes. Both girls were equally attractive but I had a hunch my target was with her boyfriend. After I was done with the story and continuing conversation the target and the guy made eye contact and then took a step forward. It looked like they were disengaging themselves so I could talk more privately with the girl who seemed interested.
We were talking for about 5 minutes and I wanted to get out to talk to other girls because during our conversation she interrupted me to speak to one of the guys she recognized from high school. I AMOG'ed him but still I took this as a "get the number and move". I told her I need to get moving to make sure were buddies were cool. I asked for her number and I called her phone immediately to make sure it was real and it was. Then I said okay see you later and took off.
Now I don't know about you but I found this awkward because as I return to my friends and approached a few HB's that night (no numbers) while she was in the same bar. She may have no noticed, maybe not. What would have been the proper procedure for a situation like this?
