As the title of the post states, how can you tell if a girl is giving you a IOI or is just being friendly. I get how most of the IOI's are easy to tell when it comes from a random chick that you just met because girls that you just met won't easily touch you while talking or smile and maintain eye contact (both being popular IOI's) but if its a friend or somebody you know this can commonly be mistaken for being just friendly.

Bottom Line: Is there anyway to tell whether she is giving you a IOI or just being friendly?

Push the envelope. Heres a little trick I do to differentiate the difference between an IOI and friendlyness.

Once you've isolated your target and you guys are sitting down chatting blah blah. Hold her hand, NOW this could be a sign of her being friendly. Have a wingman come say something really fun and leave. Remove your hand from her laugh give your buddy a high five and let him leave. Put your hand back down to your legs. If she grabs your hand and initiates the holding this time, thats an ioi.

This is just an example, but i'm pretty much saying push the envelope take risks and see where it goes.

I actually do that with girls I already know. But another trick for girls you know is treating the girl different and seeing if she implies. For instance, say you have a girl who's "just a friend" then I would take her out to a party or bar where she knows no one except you. But you would have to know a lot of people at the social event. Introduce her to a bunch of your "cool friends" and such. Now she is beginning to look at you in a new image. Pretty much what's going through her head is wow "Rambo is the man, how does he know all this people?" Get some drinks in the both of you, dance a little bit then start looking for iois after that I would reccomend you guys take pictures. In the first picture just a regular you guys smiling picture in the next picture kiss her on the cheek and in the final picture tell her to kiss you on the cheek. Now you've created some kino. At the end of the night when you walk her to your car or w.e hold her hand see if she implies.

Now in the entire night, shes seen you in a new light, danced with you, kissed you on the cheek and held your hand, you'd be stupid not to try and kiss close when you drop her off at home.

This is just what I do.

The point is to act on everything, you have to know the situation and see if she would be better off being friendly (example: coffee server, waitress, window washer) those people are friendly/flirty to get tips, and get hit on all the time. If your in the park and you sit next to a girl on the bench, it could be friendly but unless theres a ring its probly a IOI. Like dynamic said act on everything as if its a IOI, you can find out if it really is later on.
