Most of them wear dark shirts left untucked. I wear shirts that are meant to be tucked and seem to be more business than club (Banana Republic). I also wear brighter colors like white, pink, baby blue (not at once, but are those effeminate colors for club wear?)
I also go for a more intellectual/nerdy look. For example I might wear glasses or part my hair with my shirt tucked in. Does this set me apart in a good way, is it an instant turnoff, or does it just come back to how I carry myself? _________________ —CMR60

If you want to know for sure, go ahead and ask your friends. Someone that can give you an honest opinion about your clothing. The colors and types of shirts don't really matter if you make it look right.
Also, I suggest you try taking a look at typical 'sexy' nerd-clothing. I believe Julian Foxx tends to dress that way in clubs. Search for him on youtube and try finding some in-field footage of him.
Get some inspiration and try going for a similar look for starters.
