It's something that needs to be developed over time; it is a skill and an ability that isn't simply born into us. Many skills that humans are capable of are also unadvertised and not well known to the general population and yet when we properly inform them of these skills that they can learn we notice that they then begin to desire to develop them for themselves as they begin to realise the benefits to them.
As I said, I think those things you mentioned are great ways to start down this path, yet without being told that they are only tools that can enable them to realise that ability that can be developed, they typically start to think that those things are the only ways they can feel that way and that's largely due to people like yourself telling them that that is how to achieve that state they desire (no offense intended, just an easy reference as I'm sure you understand). Rising above this as a species is something that requires group effort and continual self-checks, as well as the support of peers who are able to notice when we start slipping into our unconscious patterns and doing things that we KNOW aren't what we want to do and don't work as well as other things, but that are easier and more comfortable patterns.
None taken.
And you're right. I should have mentioned that that was just a way to start in the direction and not an outright solution.
It's good to get you on the path but the real thing is the feeling it generates, "That no matter whatever is happening in your life and how bad things can get, that resounding feeling screaming inside of you, in reassurance, that irrespective of the downs in your life... You. Are. Okay." When people start believing in that, well, good or bad doesn't really become options.
