Hey guys and gals,

There've been a few posts floating around about masturbation and its effects on GAME. Well, I figure there's only one real way to find out whether something works or not -- do that shit yourself! So, I plan on going at least 15 days without wanking, touching, poking, or prodding. I plan on updating this with any successes or fails daily, as I will be going out for approaches. I did the same thing; I stopped masturbating for 2 weeks. It did pump me up to do more active activities and increased my ambitions to pick up women, but it also increased my chances of premature ejaculation. My penis got too sensitive and unfortunately, I came too easily. If you frequently masturbated before, you should not go cold turkey. This will only excite you more than it should when you do have sex. Just lower the amount of times you masturbate per day/week one by one, and reduce it to whatever you want. Also, do not stop masturbating all together in the long run unless you are having sex pretty often. As you most likely already know, masturbation is healthy and natural.

Good advise, thank you for that, I do this 3 times/day on an average, sometimes do it only 2 times when very busy, but can't do less than that unfortunately, I think I have very high libido, I would try to do this 2 week challenge and see how I perform, hope I can keep up the control for 2 weeks.

Hmm, I can def see what you're saying Sybax, that's a distinct possibility. Though I've heard that immersion is an important part of having staying power. If I have enough immersion to balance lack of masting, it should turn out ok. Anyways, I'm adventurous, and will try it for experience and bragging rights. . .

I should have also stated that going cold turkey does show how much self control you have and the end gratification of it, but it also exponentially has a higher risk. Each day that passes will be a whole lot harder than the last, and may push you over the edge of reverting back to what you were doing before, or even worse. If you do it one by one though, it won't be as hard each day that passes.

If you think about it, doing it one by one is just as hard as going cold turkey, considering that cold turkey is faster but harder, and one by one is longer but easier (1+1+1+1=4 [one by one] is the same as 4=4 [cold turkey]).

But if you are going cold turkey, I'll tell you what I did. I started working out and going out a lot more than before, so I'm not stuck in my room being bored (even if I'm playing a game or something), and ultimately thinking about jerking off once I unintentionally see a half naked girl on a site or from a game. Start working out (do push ups and sit ups, or jog every hour on the hour if you don't go to the gym). This will help kill stress and physical tension, some of the main reasons why we play with our unconditionally loving "buddy". And go out because, if you stay inside, your doomed to boredom eventually, and we'll turn to that "buddy" for help. You don't need a plan; go to a busy park, sit at a bench, and read a book or just watch people. If you're outside, at least you know you can't jerk off since your in public (unless you're into that sort of thing). Because of the weather, every girl/woman you see will be wearing tight shirts and short skirts, which might give you a bulging boner sooner or later, but will help you maintain yourself since you can't masturbate. And this way, you can maybe talk to some which will help your AA.

Good luck if you masturbated at least once a day before. Lol trust me you're going to need it.

Well, yesterday was day one of this Anti-Masturbation Challenge. I started the day off with a nice workout in my home gym, was pumped, feeling good. Also did some yardwork, clearing away some huge branches that a storm had brought down.

While I was doing yardwork, a girl in a 3-set opened me from across the street with, “Hey.” I looked up and said, “You’re just in time to help out.” The other two were young, maybe younger sisters. Anyway, they kept going, and came back with Arizona teas. I noticed them looking back at me. I said, “Where’s mine?” They laughed, but I didn’t approach further. I felt I should have, which means I should have.

That last sentence sums up the rest of my day. I had AA out the ASSHOLE. I went to a local Barnes & Noble and mall, two different venues. I could not get out of my head though. Mainly thinking, It’s weird approaching women randomly. If you guys have seen some of my past posts, you know that I am a great conversationalist. There’s something about the idea of an approach not having a reason that was killing me yesterday.

Now that I think about it though, I like the idea of an approach for approach’s sake. Just a simple “Hey.” Reasons and openers help psychologically with giving you something to justify your approach, but no reason comes across much stronger. I’m gonna re-read some of Juggler’s stuff.

Day 1 down, 14 yet to experience. . .

The rise of particularly internet pornography in the last 10-15 years has destroyed a lot of lives. I think you'll find the benefits of quitting porn for good there on those two sites. I've been actively trying to quit with a goal of 90 days for a full 'reboot'. The benefits are amazing. The longest I've made it so far is 24 days before I relapsed. The swagger and confidence you will gain from quitting have to be felt to be believed. I started to feel it at about the two week mark, and then things start to get weird depending on other factors for about 8-12 weeks. That's when the brain is more than likely fully balanced.

Putting ethical and religious reasoning aside porn robs the soul and destroys your outlook and objectivity toward women. It's fun to looks at, but it's effects on the brain are comparable to using some street drugs. Good luck.

For some reason I thought you were quitting porn. Unless it's excessive, masturbation without pornography is not harmful. It's the pornography that is the killer.

I need to get back to doing that. There were moments where I haven't wanked for a few days, maybe even a couple of weeks, but lately its all gone to the crapper, been doing it once or twice a day for the past two months (sorry for the details). I'm guessing I'm going through a dip in enthusiasm

Today was one of those days of silent growth. I watched a lot of video and read some articles on approach, including Chief's Newbie Mission. I will try this today.

I realized 2 things yesterday. The first is that if u can't smile and say hey to women, you won't be able to get any further. The second is, talking to people, whether they're girls or guys, helps me become more comfortable with conversation. There was a point 2 years ago where I was at the peak of conversation skills. I want to pass that. When I'm at the peak of my convo AND I arrive at a flat stomach to go along with my muscular build, it will feel good.

I did go out briefly to the neighborhood library. Said hey to a few women, chatted with the library clerk. All in all, I feel better about the inner game. Time to convert that into action. . .
