Ok guys, we all know the opener, asking if kissing is cheating,

But, I've always wondered, is kissing actually cheating

I've been thinking about this for a while, so any thoughts ?

Depends on the girl and the relationship. Some girls would be cool with it, most wouldn't.

Saying that I have no issues kissing a girl who is in a relationship. That's her own mess :p

Nah on a more serious note, yes I think it is cheating.

Just to avoid the extended answer, I'm assuming we are talking about a committed, exclusive relationship. Yeah, it's cheating to me. I wouldn't do it and I wouldn't want my girlfriend to do it. Only exception is like a kiss on the cheek as a greeting, nothing else.

Yeah--if the girl is cool with it, go for it. But, if a dude kissed a girl I was in a relationship with, he wouldn't live to see another sunrise. It's cheating to me.

Yeah, kissing = cheating, case closed. I wonder, if anyone's gotten any other answers from girls with this opener. . .I may use this. In fact, I wonder if you can couple this with "Because my gf went to a party and kissed a guy, and told me about it later. It was just a small peck, like this. . ."

Thats a terrible opener. It shows your GF has 0 respect for you. Now if you'd said: I went to a party and this girl kissed me! My GF freaked out, but I don't think it's cheating, what do you think....

Of course that just a prototype but you get the idea.

At this point you've told her a DLV and that you have a girlfriend. This is exactly why we always say "So I have this friend....."

This is something that REALLY should be discussed with your partner, imho. It's not just a blanket rule that can be generalized to all relationships. Judging by the ever-so-wide difference in opinion on this thread alone, obviously people have some very different thoughts on the matter. So, who knows what your gf would think!

Just have a nice chat with her, basically "just in case it were to come up". She might wonder why you're asking out of the blue, yes, but would probably appreciate the open communication. It might help prevent awkward situations in the future, and who knows, maybe both of you will be cool with it!
