Hey guys,
So I am assuming most of you have read "The Game" already.
First of all I must say this is by far the most entertaining book I've read. I was literally burst out laughing a few times today.
So my first question in this thread is this:
Lets say that I've gotten rid of my AA enough to approach. My openers work etc. What do I do then other than have a normal conversation about where she lives, works etc?
I've read about a quarter of the book and it seems that Neil Strauss describes many magic, ESP (which is kind of like magic isn't it? in a way?), NLP etc.
So should I take one of those subjects to work on and study?
If it helps, psychological manipulation fascinates me (of course not in a bad way), which is why I thought something in the lines of ESP / NLP would be interesting.
I'd appreciate your feedback

Shookie

I'm not really a tricks kind of guy, but I can tell you that these things work because it grabs a girls attention. So of course being able to do magic tricks, etc. is a very good way to keep your targets attention in the field.

Stop reading the game, put it aside.

Read everything here: http://www.fastseduction.com/guide/

Then come back for questions. But first read all of it, and go out 30 days in a row.

But why put The Game aside?

Currently reading it too, it's brilliant. It's like Fight Club: The True story or some shit. Pretty sure Neil kinda built the presentation of the story around that film after meeting Tyler Durden.

Some of the stuff in there is fantastic, but I try not to use lines straight from the book other than the ESP stuff simply because the book IS a best seller and a lot of girls will have come across it.

Also magic does work a lot, I learnt Mystery's straw trick and floating beer bottle the other day and they've worked beautifully for me (they're easier than they seem) but if you do learn this stuff don't over do it. I tend to do the straw trick as an opener or completly at random mid-convo and never mention magic again. I just walk up to a chick and say "watch this" then straw trick it's fun. The beer bottle trick can be messy for obvious reasons and I use it a lot less :p

The Game is a memoir, a very long field report. It is not a guide on how to pick up chicks. Style leaves a lot of things out in terms of how to actually interact with women. It's a good read, but not very good teaching material.

I only can advice you to read one work: Mode One of Alan Currie aka how to grow balls without becoming a douchebag.

Emulating what Neil Strauss and Mystery is doing in The Game is a bad idea. Just read the intro to the book for gods sake. Mystery is becoming mentally unstable from having to constantly manipulate people and act like someone hes not.

It is a great starter book, tho! Probably the best. It does show you the potential of great game in an entertaining fashion. But dont use their style of game. Its outdated, and turns you into a fake version of yourself tbh :p

Best of luck tho with your PUA-journey!

i think The Game is fiction and Neil Straus is a nerd. the reason i am saying this is because the "techniques" dont work nearly as well as the book makes it seem. the book does not talk about FLIRTING or dancing which are age-old ways of getting closer to women and getting dates and getting laid. but Neil Straus does not talk about flirting much because he might be a nerd and might be afraid of flirting. i think Neil might just have been afraid to flirt! also, everyone i've met who said they do NLP, are weird nerds, and the NLP just makes them more weird and the effort to manipulate people and engineer conversations makes them seem creepy. look, you should try to manipulate people a little, but studying manipulation when you dont have basic social skills to warm up to strangers, keep a convo going, or have fun talking to friends, or flirting with women, you should not be studying anything as complicated as NLP, because even people who have studied NLP still have not learned the basic things i mentioned above!
