I'm never into blindly texting chicks on Facebook, but I just tried it out on this random blondie the other day I'm interested in from my hometown. She is 22 and I'm 35. Here's how it went.

First, I just sent her a friend request, but we've never met. I don't even know her, but like I said we grew up in the same hometown. We have about 5 other common friends on FB that are girls from our hometown that I don't know who added me. I get a lot of random friend requests that I accept.

About two days after the friend request she started the private messages.

Her: Hey, do I know you, :-) (August 4th)

Me: Not yet. ;-) (August 5th)

Me: I'm not a Facebook creeper. You've got a great smile. (August 7th)

Her: haha that just like cancelled it out. ;-) but I'll let it slide. how'd you find me, huhh? (Today August 8th)

She hasn't accepted the request and she can obviously see we have mutual friends or so she thinks. So, I know I screwed up most likely by texting her again before a response, and I most likely lowered my value with the FB creeper line, but somehow I think she hasn't cut me quite yet. The dialogue seems to still be open. Or is it? What does that line even mean by her, "haha that just like cancelled it out." . Cancelled what out? Does that mean that she was going to cancel my request, but she is going to let it slide. I was going to wait a couple of days and follow up with, "I put you on probation before you cancelled.". For some reason texting and messaging game kills me while I seem to do okay face-to-face and on the phone. Let's see if I can turn this around. I'm open to all opinions.

First off....

Don't send her that line about probation. You've totally misunderstood her completely.

She said that your response about not being a creeper and yet you told her she had a pretty smile. THOSE TWO CONFLICTING SENTENCES DON'T MATCH WELL WHICH MEANS THEY CANCELED EACH OTHER OUT.

Meaning she thinks you're a creeper given the fact that every time a guy tells a girl they have a pretty smile a banjo might as well be playing in the background and you might as well tell her you were a body double in the Hillbilly slasher flick "Deliverance". It wasn't very smooth to begin with.

I'm all about being direct with a girl, but that line wasn't horrible, but the timing of that line was horrible.

Try something simple to follow up with. Pick one of your mutural friends and say to your target...

You: "Hey, I saw your friends with (mutural friend), she is a fruit loop. I added you cause I wanted to see if birds from a feather flock together. You seem cool, but I like my friends with a little crazy in them. Tell me what you've done lately that surprised you cause it was so unlike you?"

Then she could comply a bit, or she could try and smuther you with a line like...

Her: "Adding a stranger like you on my facebook."

Then you should follow up with...

You: "Yeah, you are crazy for doing that. But seriously, how do you know (mutural friend)."

Then just go on from there....then later start hitting on her. Internet game is completely different then night game or day game where you need to be extra careful about what you say cause of the fact that there are creepers out there.

So be careful....but be sexual when the time presents itself.

Ahhhhh! I see now. Thanks for clarifying, and taking the time to post. I see the ambiguity of my line now. She caught on and joked about it. Much better than what I thought.

I like the line about asking her about something crazy she's done lately. I'll wait a couple of days and respond with that one.

You said tell her, "I like my friends with a little crazy in them.". Do you think it's wise to say "friends" implying that's what you want? I've heard varying opinions about this.

I'd stick with saying "Friends" cause...

A: It shows you've got friends you love and care for...and that they are of an abundance.

and

B: That chick is not an idiot...facebook was made to keep in touch with friends and when a stranger adds you...chances are they are expecting to make new friends. It's clearly obvious so you might as well work with it.
