I'm gonna be staying in Spain for a couple of months... My spoken spanish is reasonable. How can I use my 'foreign-ness' to my advantage?

- to open a conversation
- to DHV
- to create comfort and attraction

Anyone got any techniques or tips on how I can make the best of being foreign?
In your experience, is it an advantage or disadvantage?

Wear an uncle sam hat. One of those top hats that are red and white striped with the starts along the brim will do.

In reality, I have heard from several friends that traveled abroad that the whole sexy foreign deal tends to work in one direction only. Non-Americans are sexy as hell here stateside, but when we US citizens travel abroad the exotic appeal doesn't seem to translate (pun intended). just game as usual
