Hello and welcome to the first step to changing your life. First allow me to introduce myself. I am known by many names but for this article you may call me Gun2010.
So that you may better understand where I am coming from, allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I am a 22 year old male. Who do to the economy had to recently move back in with my parents. Threw out high school I was fairly well know and had no problem meeting and hooking up with girls. When I was about 20 my life started to fall apart and as a result I had build a wall around myself. I kept this wall up for about a year before it hit me. I had become socially awkward. I was no long able to look people in the eye, I could not simply walk up to someone and start a conversation, let alone a female. I began to feel lonely and depressed so I started going out to clubs and parties with some friends. While I was able to have fun with my friends I still found it hard to talk to anyone who I did not already know. After a while I would start talking to women whom I found attractive and time after time I would get rejected, or worse have a boy friend in my face. I started studying psychology so I could try to understand what was happening. I remembered that I had seen a show called The Pick Up Artist a while back. I remember that I was really angry that Mystery (The shows Host and MPUA) had been publicly showing techniques that I used naturally threw out high school. After researching pickup online; I was lead to a book entitled The Game by Neil Strauss aka Styles, and the online PUA (Pick Up Artist) community. I was addicted . I wanted to know everything there was to know about “The Game” and how to be the best at it. I would not by any means consider myself a MPU or Guru, but I have learned quite a bit of information that has definitely improved my life and my ability to play the game.
Who You Are Now.
Who are you now? This might seem like a odd question, but none the less this is one question you must figure out if you want to succeed in the game. Who you are is not simply your name, age, race, or where you’re from. Knowing who you are is knowing what you like and what you dislike, your persona, and how you perceive the world around you. It is natural form time to be unsure of whom you are. It is important that you take time to sit down and really think about who you are now. If this means making a journal, listening to trance, meditation, taking lsd, ect.; make sure you take the time to do this.
Who You Are Going To Be.
Now that you have figured out who you are, it is time to break down what you want to change and who you want to be; while remembering that who you are really brakes down to these 3 concepts:
1. Likes & Dislikes.
2. Your Persona.
3. How you perceive the world around it.
1. Likes & Dislikes. This is how you determine what you enjoy in others and entertainment. You do not have to understand why you like something for you to like it. It is important to that once you determine that you like or dislike something that you do not let others change your opinion; unless someone suggests something you find more enjoyable This stands true with your opinion, style, or whatever. The point is by not allowing others to make decision for you, your alpha male status shines.
2. Your Persona. Your Persona is also known as style or swag. It is the way you walk, talk, act, and dress. Your persona should match the life that you want to live. So if you want to be a ladies man you must dress and act the part. When it comes down to style it really comes down to what you like and how to coordinate it. If you are one of those people with no sense of style you may want to have a friend who has a sense of style to help you. Most of the time, your gay and female friends are your best bet. Keep in mind that your physical appearance and style will be the first thing that a female will notice.
3. How you perceive the world around you. How you see the world and how you handle events happening around you play a huge factor in the game. It is important to keep a cool head at all times, and posses the ability to shake things off. By doing this people will view you as a alpha and crave your attention. In the game you will face a lot of rejection, and potential aggression. Humor and wit are your best friends.
Tools That Every PUA Needs.
The following is a list of tools that every PUA needs to utilize to improve his game.
• The Game- The PUA bible if you will. This book has everything you need to know and is simple to understand.
• Watch Keys to the VIPs a internet show about the game. Available on youtube.com.
• Watch VH1s The Pickup Artist- This show is hosted by Mystery a dear friend of Styles who wrote The Game, and is basically a short televised version of the book.
• A good PUA forum.- This is a place with other like minded people who can give you advice and other Material. The one I use is

• Watch the Social Dynamics series on youtube.com. This is a series of videos of seminars, infield footage, and lessons from MPUAs.
• Research as much on Pick Up, Psychology, Social Dynamics, and the latest social topics as you can.

• Watch shows that inspire you, and listen to music that excites you before you go gaming. Because after all its all in your head.
• The most important tool of all Friends. It is key to have a good group of friends who are social and know how to have a good time. At some point you may want to consider finding a wing man to help you game.

The Basics.
Now that you have an idea of who you are and your persona, it is time to go over the basics. Pick up is an extremely simple concept.
1. Selecting the game zone. This is where you plan on picking up. Ideally you should play the game everywhere you go, but for now we are talking about a planed game. Think about where it is easiest for you to meet a female aka target. Most people choose bars, clubs, or parties for night game, and colleges, parks, and malls for day game.
2. Now that you have selected your zone it is important to dress the part. If you are night gaming you want to have your club clothes. I highly recommend darker colors as it hides spills and sweat better. If you are day gaming wear lighter clothing. Nothing that looks trashy or with stains / holes.
3. Have good hygiene. And always make sure your breath and body smell fresh.
4. Entering the gaming zone. Prior to entering the gaming zone it is important to make sure that you are in the right mind set. For day game it is important to be relaxed, friendly, and mellow. This means being worry free, smiling, and enjoying what you are doing. For night game it is important to be relaxed, friendly, and have a high energy. This means smiling, being social with everyone, and being more exciting then the current focus of the target.
5. Opening. There are 2 basic types of openings. Wing and Solo. Wing approach is when you send in your wing to open the set. Your wing will either bring you into the set by bringing them to you or by introducing you when you approach. The wings job is to disarm the set so that you may work your target. A good wing should never steal your target, to prevent this identify the target prior to opening or have a code you use in conversation with your target that your wing will recognize. Solo approach is when you game alone. When solo gaming it is important that when you enter a set to disarm all the obstacles before gaming the target. So if you go into a 2 set open up by talking to the one your are not attracted or less attracted to then once you lower their guard you can then game your target. Remember that guys in sets are a great way to disarm the set; if you disarm the alpha it will build trust.
6. Phishing. This is where your fish for information. Ask question that appear innocent but give you a idea of what your target is looking for or their relationship status. A simple who are you here with works wonder. And remember if she does not mention having a boyfriend then she doesn’t have one. (and if she does have one but never mentions him it means shes interested)
7. Build comfort and kino. Build comfort by keeping the conversation flowing and kino with light innocent touches. Kino is touching. A good place to start is the should to test if she is comfortable with you. Then you can move on to the lower back , waist and knee. Go as far as she feels comfortable if she resists then pull back; then start building kino again.
8. Look for IOI. A IOI is a indicator of interest. This can be as simple as your target playing with her hair or straw. Some more common IOIs are tilting her head to the side, touching you, biting her lip, crossing her legs while standing, feet pointing toward you. There are many IOI that I have not listed. Basically if you feel like she is trying to tell you she is into you then more the likely she is.
9. DHV. Demonstrating higher value is simply not feeding attention to your target or anyone else who tries to interfere with your game. The goal is to make your target and others seek attention from you after opening the set. A good way to do this is to be the funny guy who negs and makes people laugh. Another way is to find the person in the group who seeks attention and let them try to get your attention; you do this by simply starting a conversation with them and then pausing to talk to someone else. Should you do this with your target and instead of trying to gain your attention she tries to walk away or talk to someone else; simply bring her into the new conversation.
10. Defending your set. This goes in hand with DHV. From time to time othe PUAs or AFCs will try to enter your set. Do not let this happen. To avoid this simply box them out with your body or just ignore them. If they interrupt just blow them of; EX; yeah that’s great mate anyway… and continues talking to your set. If they try the lighter opener simply ignore him or say no I think that guy has one and return to your set giving him no time to interrupt.
11. Isolation. This is exactly what it sounds like. You want to isolate your target from the group so that you can get to talk to her alone with out worrying about interference from friends. There are tons of ways to do this but the easiest in my opinion are to. Ask her friend if they mind if you borrow the target for a bit, this only works if the friends like you and you have build enough report. Note if you do this with a 2 set you must have a wing to occupy the friend. You could also take the targets hand and just walk way nonchalantly. Note if she pulls away or lets go to not turn around for her, wait a few mins before returning to the group. And finally have a wing take the group away, perhaps to the bar for some shots.
12. The Close. A close can end several ways. Failure (unlikely if you made it this far) a kiss, a number, or a fuck. Not hard just determine what you want and see if the IOIs match.
Things To Remember.
• Relax, Smile, and be friendly.
• Dress and act the part..
• Make sure your hygiene is up to par before gaming.
• Your physical appearance like weight, and height do not really matter for the most part. It is all about style and persona.
• Never put the pussy on a pedestal. Make her want you.
• Have good body language. Do not lean in, cross arms or legs, do not keep your drink by your chest, ect
• Keep a cool head , do not let your emotions or morals get to you.
• Do not ask permission from anyone. You have as much of a right to be there and as much of a right to try and talk to whomever you want. Especially never seek your targets approval
• You are the prize.
• Talk to anyone and everyone. Even if they are not a target and your not gaming.
• Keep trying new approaches. And push your self out of your comfort zone.
• It is the social expectation for girls to put up a shield, and the guys responsibility to try to lower it. No does not always mean no; it means try another angle.
